Which between the two is primary, and which is secondary?

- Santiago Alvarez wrote the account himself to document the events. The noteworthy
about here that made his memoirs a primary source is: he was a captain-general of
the magdiwag forces of the provincial council of the Katipunan in Cavite and was
one of those who led The revolution from August 1896 - August 1901. Even before he
was hailed as the commander of the Magdiwang army, he was in fact active in the
Katipunan as a member and delegate and was often in the company of Andres
Bonifacio. His memoirs and narrations of these events became primary sources
because he was not only an eyewitness to the incidents, but also an active
firsthand participant in them.

- The Seeds of Discontent by Teodoro Agoncillo was a secondary source because he

wasn’t an eyewitness himself.

what possible bias does the author manifest in this document, and what insights do
these historical documents convey?

Santiago Alvarez
Santiago's favor could be from the influence of his mantle as a firsthand partaker.
he might show the incidents to his liking due to his premeditated in life. but as
for me, I don't think he was biased because he made a blow-by-blow account, wherein
the details.. most of it not all, were taken into account; except that fact that he
was a magdiwang commander, and also Emilio's longtime friend, and brother in law.
As he wrote his memoir, he stated: "I will attempt down what I saw and what i know
about the Katipunan, and the Revolution", it is a subtle way of assuring to his
readers (to us) of the truthfulness of his account (his truthfulness).

Teodoro Agoncillo
Teodoro might favor could be from the influence of his viewpoint as a historian
Filipinos'. he might show the factors and sentiments, that could have led to focus
on the Philippines' struggle for independence and freedom.

After reading the documents, what insights do these historical documents convey?

here's my three cents

The Tejeros Convention is a pivotal incident in our history. it was marked as a

turning point, struggling for independence, and solidifying Emilio's leadership.

their documents let out internal conflicts in Filipinos' government management,

with human rights violations.

As a reader, I was able to imagine the event and comprehend the author's experience
which he described in better detail, including their inner dialogue, their actions,
and depiction of character's feelings, as if I'm reading a Wattpad story ems.

why are the documents important? what is the contribution of the documents helping
us understand the grand narrative of Philippine History?

because it provides us with a unique perspective on the Philippine Revolution that

could reflect their viewpoint (both authors) onto us.
