About US
Bunts Sangha's S M Shetty International School & Jr. College was started
in 2008 and is an independent, co-educational international school located in
Powai, Mumbai catering to students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. The school
is under the umbrella of Bunts Sangha, Mumbai, which was established in 1927
as a charitable trust devoted to the cause of education, healthcare and social
reforms of the downtrodden and underprivileged class of society. Students
appear for Cambridge IGCSE examinations in Grade 10 and then can continue
with Cambridge A Level or IB Diploma Programme (Grades 11 and 12) The
school enrolls both local and international students and has strength of 1200.
There are 100 teachers with a student teacher ratio of 12:1
The school focuses on transferring skills like problem solving, creative and
critical thinking, leadership and enterprise, collaboration and team work and
citizenship with a conviction that the skills will enable students to navigate and
forge ahead on their journey through life. The teaching learning methodology
is based on the foundation of active learning, collaborative group work,
teaching for understanding and addressing diverse needs of learners. Vertical
and horizontal articulation of subjects and concurrency of learning is a part of
curriculum planning.

partner of the same. We are in the sixth year of the event and can't
be excited enough to share with you the opportunities designed for
students to express and impress.
In the spirit of our theme - Echoes of the Digital Mind, we have
curated an inspiring line up of events that delve into the
fascinating relationship between human creativity and artificial
intelligence. From thought-provoking competitions to immersive
experiences that showcase the synergy of words and technology,
Lit-O-Mania 24 promises to be a journey into the future of
Literature. Embrace the possibilities, ignite your imagination, and
connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for both
literature and the transformative power of AI.

General Rules & Regulations
1. There is no participation fee.
2. Each student can participate in only one event.
3. Last date for registration for online events is 15th January 2024 and for offline
events is 25th January 2024. Schools may register for the online events or the
offline events or both.
4. For the Online mode, the competitions will be held on the Google Meet
platform. The Google meet links will be shared with the registered schools.
Participants need to join the meeting using the link at least ten minutes before
the start time. Participants need to keep their camera on at all times and
microphone on mute if/when not required. The announcement of the winners
of the online events will be done in the closing ceremony on 3rd February 2024.
5. The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
6. Certificates will be given to each student for participation and winners will get
Certificate of Merit.
7. Specific rules and regulations for individual events are detailed separately.
You may contact the teacher in charge for any further clarification.
8. Scoring: Points from all the events will be added to the school's final score.
The school receiving the highest points (Online and Offline) will be the winner
of the Lit-O-Mania trophy.
9. The announcement of the school winning the Lit-O-Mania trophy will be done
in the closing ceremony on 3rd February 2024.

Shark Tank (Pitch for Futuristic Artificial
Intelligence Innovative Tools)
Event description: The new edition of Lit-O-Mania 2024 opens
with a Pitch Perfect Shark Tank competition.
• We are looking for innovative thinkers and problem solvers to
come and pitch their ideas.
• Students will make their pitch for duration of 8 minutes.
• There will be a Q&A session with the judges for the duration
of 8 minutes after each school's presentations.

Event description: Welcome to the Extempore Extravaganza,
where eloquence meets spontaneity! Participants showcase their
unscripted brilliance in this thrilling competition. Armed with wit
and knowledge, speakers delve into diverse topics, delivering
captivating speeches on the spot. Witness the magic of impromptu
oratory as contenders navigate the unpredictable with grace and flair.

Twist a Tale (Recreate a Classic Story by
integrating Artificial Intelligence tools
in the original story.)
Event description: This event will provide a platform for participants
to showcase their imaginative blend of classic tales with the cutting-
edge Artificial Intelligence, encouraging creativity and technological
exploration.
Guidelines:
1. Eligibility: Grade 6 and 7
2. Number of participants: One team of 4-5 students per school
3. Language for presentation: English

5. Participants will have to recreate a classic tale with a twist adding
the usage of Artificial Intelligence and narrate it.
6. Participants can consider introducing unexpected characters,
altering the setting or adding a unique technology or an Artificial
Intelligence tool.
7. Participants can experiment with plot twists that challenge
traditional narrative style. The key is to balance traditional
familiarity with modern technology, creating a new story that
surprises while maintaining the essence of the original.

Event description: LinguaMind Quest is a cutting-edge quiz
competition that seamlessly blends the rich realms of language
and literature with the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence.
This innovative event is designed to challenge participants in
their linguistic and literary prowess while exploring the intersection
of these skills with the capabilities of Artificial Intelligence.
The competition consists of several rounds, each uniquely crafted to
engage participants in a dynamic and intellectually stimulating
environment.

1. Eligibility: Grade 6 to 8
2. Number of participants: One team of 3 students per school
3. Language for presentation: English
4. Each team must include one student each from grades 6 to 8.
5. The quiz will be conducted in four rounds.
6. Questions will specifically focus on the intersection

participants are encouraged to study both areas.

Event description: Welcome to the Lego Design Challenge-
an exciting competition for creative minds. This event is an
opportunity for students to showcase their ingenuity, teamwork,
and Lego-building skills. Participants will engage in a thrilling
competition that encourages imagination, problem-solving, and
collaboration. Students have to design and make their own robot
using Lego. They have to then explain how it would be useful to
mankind and what will it simplify for us.

Event description: Witness dynamic discourse in our debate event as For and
Against teams clash on a resolution. Three speakers per side navigate timed
speeches, crossfire questioning, and strategic rebuttals. Uncover the art of
persuasion, critical thinking, and articulate communication in this intellectual
showdown.
Guidelines:
1. Eligibility: Grade 9 to 12
2. Number of participants: One team of 3 students per school

4. Opening Statements (2 minutes per team):
• For Team (proposing the resolution): Presents their case and
