Objectives
At the end of the lesson the students are expected to the following with 85% accuracy:
 Store plants and materials according to company storage guidelines and OSH
requirements.
 Clean, maintain and restore tools and equipment according to manufacturer’s
specifications
 Report work outcome to the supervisor following stablished reporting formats

The 5S The philosophy of 5S represents a way of


focusing and thinking in order to better
organize and manage workspace,
specifically by eliminating the wastes
accumulated from regular activities.

Seiri (Sort) taking out and disposing of unnecessary

Seiton (Systematize) for the easiest and most efficient access

Seiso (Sweep) cleaning even if things are not dirty.

Seiketsu (Standardize) maintaining the workplace in high
