1. Self-Assessment:
o Reflect on your skills, experiences, strengths, and values.

I possess a lot of technical and soft skills in my quiver and I am well informed about the
necessary usage of the same. Some of the technical skills I have learned over the ears
include AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Revit, Bluebeam and many more. I have successfully used
all these skills in my previous working experiences. Except from these I have very good
communication skills and I can convey my point to the person at receiving end with much
ease, as a designer attention details comes to me naturally. I also love working with
numbers which helps me enjoy costing, estimation and organisation. I have worked in two
different offices with very different working environments and I have very well meddled into
the working culture of both the offices. I joined the first office as an intern and within four
months of the internship I was heading the 3D visualisation team of the office. Similarly in
my second job experience at Architectural Design Practice I was offered a Junior Architect
position post my internships. I was quick and clear with my communication with the clients.
I maintained the meeting log and M.O.M. I was multiple times offered with multiple
commissions from the vendors to help them secure the orders but to maintain my integrity
in market I refused the offers each and every time. As architects u have to work with
different peoples from different walks of life. And working with a huge teams takes a lot of
responsibility and smart thinking.

o Identify what differentiates you from others in your field.

I have education from one of the leading colleges for Architecture in India and I have been
exposed to a huge variety of construction techniques. The working experience I have for
almost 2 years has helped learn how to deal with situation on site and taking quick calls
about issues on site. Comparing myself to others I have met in the country of Canada and
who have similar experience, lack the knowledge of multiple technical skills.

2. Market Research:
o Research the needs and trends in your target industry.

In the Canadian construction industry, project managers are increasingly focusing on

sustainability, incorporating green building practices and leveraging technology to make
projects more efficient. The demand for skilled project managers is increasing due to the
increase in the number of infrastructure projects and the need for effective cost and
schedule management. Stakeholder collaboration, risk management and compliance with
evolving regulations are also top priorities for Canadian construction project managers.

o Understand what employers in your field are looking for.

Canadian employers looking for construction project managers generally look for candidates
with education and experience. Higher education in construction management, civil
engineering or similar is often considered an advantage. Related certificates can be helpful.

Experience in construction project management, understanding of local building regulations

and knowledge of project management is valued. Strong communication and leadership

skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams are key attributes that
employers desire. An understanding of successful project execution and sustainable and
innovative construction practices can further differentiate candidates in a
competitive job market.

With an extensive architectural education from a leading institution and nearly two years of
hands-on experience in construction project management, I effortlessly combine a variety of
skills that include AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Revit, Bluebeam and more. My communication,
leadership and creative problem solving skills, which I have demonstrated as a 3D
visualization team leader and junior architect, make me an ideal candidate for positions that
require a dynamic combination of technical knowledge and leadership skills. Canadian
