Course Name MATHEMATICS FOR ENGINEERS

Algebraic expressions and equations; solution sets of algebraic


equations in one variable: linear, quadratic, polynomial of degree
n, fractional, radical equations, quadratic in form, exponential and
logarithmic equations; decomposition of fractions into partial
fractions; solution sets of systems of linear equations involving up
to three variables. Trigonometric functions, identities and

After completing this course, the student must be able to:
1. Determine the solution sets of all types of algebraic
expressions, exponential equations and logarithmic equations;
and inequalities;
2. Define and evaluate each of the six trigonometric functions;
prove trigonometric functions; define and evaluate inverse
trigonometric functions; solve trigonometric equation; Solve
Course problems involving right triangles using trigonometric function
