My Reflection
This 10-day immersion program during Senior High School was a valuable and meaningful experience. It
provided me with knowledge, ideas, insight, and background to help choose the right college course.
Through this program, I learned how to be responsible, become a better person, and work towards
becoming a successful professional.
I gained an important lesson to be tough and persevere through the activities assigned by my teacher.
Even when I felt tired and my neck ached, I had to act like I was okay. Nonetheless, it was enjoyable to
talk to other students, learn about their interests and have a good time. By mingling with them, I
learned how to interact and socialize with students of different ages.
My teacher provided me with the necessary support and motivation to pursue my chosen career. Her
encouraging words and inspirational message of pursuing a dream, trusting my instincts, and working
hard have stayed with me. She reminded me that real dreams take work, patience, and perseverance.
This experience is memorable, and I will always remember the lessons and inspiration that my teacher
taught me. I am grateful for her continued support and the opportunity to learn from her. This 10-day

INTRODUCTION
Work Immersion is an essential component of the senior high school curriculum, serving as a
requirement for graduation. Senior high school students are mandated to undergo work immersion in a
business organization or establishment that aligns with their specialization. This immersive experience
allows students to gain exposure to a work environment relevant to their chosen field.
Work immersion is a crucial element of the senior high school curriculum and can be implemented in
various ways to cater to the learners' needs and objectives. The duration of work immersion can vary
from 80 to 320 hours, providing students with the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the
workplace, engage in workplace simulations, and apply their specialized competencies.
The guidelines emphasize that work immersion plays a vital role in developing students' life and career
skills, equipping them to make informed decisions regarding their postsecondary education or
employment. To facilitate work immersion experiences, the Department of Education (DepEd) aims to
establish partnerships with institutions and organizations, enabling students to access hands-on
workplace experiences and additional learning resources.
DepEd encourages schools to form partnerships with recognized institutions or organizations to
formalize work immersion agreements for students. Additionally, parental consent is required for
students' participation in work immersion, as they are still considered minors.
