4 SHIPPING ARRANGEMENT
The STYLIX II radiographic table is not assembled completely for shipping and it is
packaged in two crates.
The transporting crates contain the following parts, assemblies:
Crate 1:
− radiographic table,
− accessories, depending on the order.
Crate 2:
− tabletop
− remove the foil covering from the table and from the tabletop
− clean any grease or dust accumulated during transportation from the unit,
− remove the accessory boxes from the crate
Arrange the cleaned unit to protect it from any damage and to not obstruct the
installation work.
6 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION
ATTENTION! The floor on the installation site should be prepared to have a load
strength of a minimum 550 lb.(250 kg) at each anchoring point,
and the concrete strength should comply with local codes.
If the radiographic system includes a tubestand, that should be installed first. The
position of the tubestand will determine the location of the table.
− Check the level of the table in the longitudinal and cross table directions. If
adjustment is necessary, place the necessary amount of "U" shape shim
plates under the appropriate corner of the table.
− Leveling reference points:
Cross-table direction: ball bearings located in the two ends of the table's
transversal frame
Longitudinal direction: plane of the tabletop
− If the table comes with the Bucky device already installed, double check that
the mounting screws are holding it securely on the carriage. Remove the
holding straps or security stick from the carriage and make sure it runs
smoothly throughout its travel. (If the table does not have a Bucky device
installed, proceed with the following instruction.)
6.3 Bucky Installation (please refer to the manual of the Bucky device)
− (If Bucky and tray are already installed in the table, disregard sections 6.3 and
6.4)
− Locate Bucky device and brake releasing switch
− Position the Bucky on the carriage. The cassette tray opening should face the
front of the table.
− Remove the cover of the motor compartment.
− Use 4 pcs. 5/16 x 1/2" (M8 x 12mm) round head screws, washers, lock
washers and nuts to attach the Bucky to the carriage. (In some models, the
Bucky can be fixed from the side using 4 bolts. If the Bucky switch is mounted
on the carriage, disregard following section)
− Drill a Ø 10 mm (3/8") hole (if not provided) for the break-switch cable through
the front panel of the motor section of the Bucky.
− Fix the Bucky-switch assembly with 4 pcs. of 10/32 x 1/2" (M5 x 12mm)
screws and connect the switch to the controller board.
Note: One side of the table transversal carriage and the tabletop have a small
white label attached with the serial number of the table and a little arrow.
The objective is that after the tabletop is glided into its position the marks
(on the tabletop) shall be on the same side. If the serial numbers on both
labels are not the same, call the manufacturer.
− Depending upon the intended mounting side, remove the appropriate end
stops.
− Slide the tabletop onto the transversal frame. The longitudinal tabletop brakes
may stop the sliding process.
− Carefully press the brakes down against the springs until you are able to push
the tabletop into position.
− Reattach the table stops.

7 MAINTENANCE
In general, the STYLIX II radiographic table does not require complicated maintenance
work.
The objective of this inspection is to reveal and eliminate any hidden malfunctions.
The inspection shall include the following:
Check all brakes and moving parts every 6 months. Movements must be smooth
and without any excessive noise. Brakes must hold the tabletop firmly in every
position. When released they must not obstruct movement.
7.1 Lubrication
Bearings and guiding rods should always be well lubricated to prevent premature
wear-out. Bearings operating without dust covers should be inspected regularly
and lubricated when necessary with grease
Check the guiding rods of the cross movement and the side rails of the tabletop. If
dust or other substances contaminate them, clean them and apply a thin layer of
grease.
WARNING! Only acid free grease and oil may be used for treatment
Check all the cable strain-relief and mechanical fixings as well. Inspect all ground
cable connections. Resistance between any ground connection or accessible
metal parts and the central grounding terminal must be less than 0.2 ohms.
