1. What do you understand by the term “political dynasty?” What is
the effect of the existence of political dynasties to the socio-

Political Dynasty occurs when political power is concentrated within
a particular family, with members of the same family occupying political
positions over successive generations.
The effect of the existence of the political dynasties on the socio-
economic development of the Philippines offers stable and steady
reinforcement of economic inequalities but is inefficient in the use and
distribution of resources for project development.
2. The explosive growth of social media and the accessibility, ease
and dependence by which individuals acquire news and
information over the internet has led to the proliferation of fake
news and misinformation. Should social media platforms and
providers be required to censor or regulate their sites to eliminate
fake news and misinformation which could manipulate or sway
public opinion?
Social media platforms should censor or regulate their sites to
eliminate fake news and misinformation emphasizing media literacy and
empowering individuals to distinguish reliable information from fake news.
Also, users should take responsibility for verifying the information they
consume and share because misinformation can cause public panic such as
false information about dangers.
3. Do you think that law schools were able to effectively deliver
quality legal education using online learning during the pandemic
years when there was no face-to-face interaction between the
students and the law professor? Should the Legal Education
Board now mandate the return to in person teaching and prohibit
law schools from using online or distance learning?
Law schools were able to effectively deliver quality legal education
using online learning during the pandemic years because students could
attend classes from any location and enhanced learning tools such as virtual
simulations and online means. Students are allowed to review recorded
lecture materials at their own pace. While face-to-face interaction promotes
better communication skills and real-time reactions. Legal Education Board
should permit law schools to offer a mix of in-person and online classes,
leveraging the advantages of both methods. Set quality standards for online
education to ensure the quality and accessibility of online legal education.
4. Since the passage of the Family Code in 1988, estranged couples
have availed of the provision in the law which allows for annulment
of marriages due to psychological incapacity. Do you think this
remedy for broken marriages should be allowed to continue or is it
time for a Congress to pass a Divorce Law?
It is time for Congress to pass a Divorce law because this process is
more straightforward and less costly compared to the annulment process,
which often requires extensive psychological evaluation and legal battles.
Also allowing divorce can reduce the mental health and emotional stress
associated with prolonged unhappy marriage, contributing to a better
mental health outcome for the individuals and their children.
5. The Supreme Court of the United States in the landmark case of
Obergefell v. Hodges ruled on the right of the States to sanction
same sex marriage. Under the equal protection clause, do you
agree that members of the LGBTQ community in the Philippines
should also have the absolute right to same sex marriage as with
heterosexual couples as provided in the Family Code.

social acceptance and cannot reduce stigma against the LGBTQ community.
It will send a strong message that the faith of every citizen is not valued
equally.
6. The rise of artificial intelligence or AI is the next inevitable phase in
technological advancement. Access to AI generated responses can
be extracted within seconds from typing a query in AI sites such as
ChatGPT. What in your opinion is the effect of this technology in the
assessment of student performance in essay examinations for school
and universities in general and for law schools in particular?
The effect of this technology in the assessment of student performance

school, AI can provide students with instant feedback on their essays,
identifying grammar mistakes, coherence issues, and areas needing
improvement. AI can help improve writing skills. However, students may
become overly dependent on AI for writing essays, which could hinder their
development of critical thinking, research, and writing skills.
