not?
Answer: Quality, success, and pleasure are frequently linked to a number of attributes, including
commitment, tenacity, optimism, and wise decision-making. They may also result from
connections, accomplishments, achieving objectives, and personal beliefs. In the end, they are
personal experiences shaped by unique viewpoints and situations. I definitely agree that success
and happiness are attributed to several positive factors which I could firmly reaffirm that through
those mentioned factors can contribute to something which is a successful, happy and high-
quality result for the betterment of oneself.
2. Based on the quotations, are success and quality traced to factors within or outside a
person’s control?

Motivational Factors can affect on how people would experience success and quality especially
that those quotations could inspire all the rest of humanity could aspire things they once dreamed
of.

within a person’s control? To something outside a person’s control?
Answer: For me, it is really up to the person’s capacity to become positively motivated or to let
their own capacity control their way of achieving success or quality type of life in the future no
matter how can both of Internal or External would try to drag him down just due to those
undesirable factors. Most important thing to remember in life to stay motivated, dedicated,

focused, optimistic, versatile, open-minded and several good personalities which can totally help
someone to become successful or to live a quality life in the future.

sense of motivation for it inspires a person to do what he is suppose to do and plan out
everything, provided that the plans are good, just to achieve that certain goal he or she sets. It
also gives a sense of direction since eventhough plans may not have assurance that paths are as
clear as someone wanted it to be, yet is still gives someone to become firm and confidence to
take the paths in order to achieve that goal.
ACTIVITY 2 (ANALYSIS)
Activity General Instruction
Go over the comments one by one to be able to do the following:
1. Based on the comments, to which is poor/good performance attributed? What are the
factors within and without the control of the student?
Answer: Although most of the people responded for them to form such motivations, however
due to their own justifiable reasons, based from those external factors, made them feel
unmotivated anymore. Most of those factors are from their Family Status and Issues/Concerns,
Peer Pressure, Book/Technological Information Sources, etc.
2. What is the effect on one’s motivation if success or quality is attributed to something
within a person’s control?
Answer: When someone believes something they can control is the reason for their success or
quality, it usually motivates them more. Individuals are more likely to feel inspired to keep
aiming for achievement when they think that their actions and efforts have a direct impact on
results. More efficacy and resolve are fostered by this sensation of control.
3. Do you agree with the comments? Explain your answer.
Answer: I definitely agree with the comments because it is very natural for every person to be
justified why such situations are happening in their lives. However, if those external factors will
be allowed by each person for him to be controlled with, then it is no longer logical enough
whereas if someone let the factors will become their source of inspiration even how negative are
those, then he or she can still be motivated through those in order for him or her to achieve their
ambitions in life Bo matter those causes of motivations are negative or not. It still matters much
on the disciplined consistency of every individual.
4. Is there any instance where performance is traced to feelings of self-competence? Point it
out.
Answer: Performance is most of the time an effect of feelings of self-competence because if
someone is aware of what is/are his or her potential(s), then he could become convenient and
confident to perform it or show it off to the audience of interest. Just like for instance, my own
desire is singing and I am really motivated to sing welland due to that feeling of self-competence
of mine, because of my God-given instrument which is my voice, then I can perform fabulously
to the audience even with hilarity.
PART II
GENERAL INSTRUCTION No. 2:
Give a graphic presentation of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.
Explanation Proper:
A five-tiered pyramid of requirements is proposed by the psychological theory known as
Maslow's Hierarchy of requirements for humans. Physiological demands, such as food and
shelter, come first, then safety needs, such as stability and security. The social demands for love
and belonging are covered in the third level. The desires for self-esteem and external validation
follow those for esteem. The highest state is called self-actualization, which stands for reaching
one's full potential and pursuing personal development. According to this theory, people move
through these stages, needing to complete each one in order to move on to the next.
PART III
GENERAL INSTRUCTION No.3:
Interview your learning partner on factors that affect his/her control. Analyze also the effects of
these factors on your learning partner’s motivation.
Name of the Paired Partner: MARY GERALDINE DONAN
Enumerated Factors:
• Technological Issues - outside her control
• Personal Goals - within her control
• Self-Discipline - within her control
• Mental Health - within her control
• Transportation Issues - houtside her control
• Financial Stress - within her control
• Time Management - within her control
• Learning Environment - within her control
• Family Obligations - outside her control
• Teacher Support - outside her control
ANALYTICAL EXPLANATION:
Technology-related problems can impede my partner’s matched pair's academic achievement
because they are uncontrollable and may limit her access to resources and online learning
environments. If properly controlled, personal objectives, self-discipline, and mental health—all
factors that are under her control—can have a substantial positive impact on her academic
achievement. Uncontrollably occurring transportation problems could interfere with participation
and attendance, which would impact her consistency of learning. Even when she can control it,
financial stress can nevertheless affect concentration and the resources available for academic
endeavors. When she manage her time well, she can minimize the negative effects of several
pressures and maximize her study time. Fostering a supportive atmosphere for academic
performance can be achieved by managing family duties and creating a conducive study
environment—both of which are under her control. Even though it is mostly outside her control,
teacher assistance can nevertheless be extremely important in offering direction and resources.
To improve their overall academic performance, she should balance these variables, concentrate
on what she can control, and she must look for assistance when faced with outside obstacles.
OWN FACTORS ANALYSIS:
Name: BACLA-AN, PERCHVIL V.
Enumerated Factors:
Within my Control:
1. Study Habits
2. Time Management
3. Stress
4. Distractions
5. Presumptions
Outside my Control:
6. Health Issues
7. Sleep Deprivations
8. Lack of Resources
9. Teacher/Professor Effectiveness
10. Peer Influence
ANALYTICAL EXPLANATION:
A number of things that I can control, like my study habits, time management abilities, stress
management skills, handling distractions, and questioning assumptions, can have a big impact on
how well I succeed academically. Productivity and learning results can be improved by
developing efficient study habits and time management techniques. Additionally, reducing stress
and dealing with distractions might help you concentrate and focus better when studying. But
outside variables like health problems, lack of sleep, resources, the effectiveness of teachers and
professors, and peer pressure could present difficulties that are beyond of my control. Even if
these variables may have an impact on your academic path, I can minimize their effects and
improve your success by concentrating on increasing your control over your own decisions and
activities.
GENERAL REFLECTION FOR THIS MODULE:
From the Module on Theories on Factors Affecting Motivation I realized that…
Upon considering these variables, it becomes evident that although I possess agency over
certain facets of my scholastic achievements, there exist exogenous elements outside my control.
When I take proactive measures to improve my motivation and performance in the classroom, I
feel more empowered. These proactive measures include disputing presumptions, controlling
stress, avoiding distractions, and developing study routines. I can maximize my efforts to reach
my academic objectives and establish a conducive learning environment by giving priority to
these areas. On the other hand, I can approach them differently when I acknowledge the external
circumstances that are beyond my control, such health problems, sleep deprivation, a lack of
finances, the effectiveness of teachers and professors, and peer pressure.
Even if I might not be able to directly alter these conditions, I can nevertheless adjust and,
when necessary, seek assistance. This could entail looking for alternate sources of inspiration and
support, lobbying for improved resources, or getting medical attention for health-related
concerns. All things considered, it is critical to comprehend how internal and external forces
interact to affect my motivation and performance in the classroom. I may develop resilience and
motivation by concentrating on the things I can control and taking the initiative to overcome
obstacles. As a result, I will eventually succeed more academically.
