DECLARATION

As a part of PGDM program, I have done my internship with “VOESTALPINE

VAE VKN INDIA PVT.LTD – Marketing Executive.”

The study named “Fundamental and Technical Analysis of Tender’s In Railways

Product Marketing ” is about understanding the factors that affect tenders issued by

RDSO of Indian Railways for designing of Railway Tracks . The entire internship was a

great learning because of its vast exposure to Product Marketing and corporate world.

The main objective of the project was to study the analysis regarding the Product

Marketing of Indian Railways and analysis fundamental or technical is considered

mostly. It also studies the impact of various fundamental or technical analysis done for

investing in the price and quality of products. Analysis of these can be done using various

indicators and charts and other websites for news. There has always been clashes

between a fundamental analysis of the product market or technical analysis. Fundamental

analysis is investing in stock by looking at the company standards and the norms or

instructions provided by the RDSO ,MINISTRY INDIAN RAILWAYS whereas

technical analysis is forecasting and the quality of products. VAE VKN mostly deals

with the railways tracks, railway turnout system solutions. Innovative drive, detecting

and locking systems, monitoring equipment for rolling stock as well as fixed assets and

a variety of related services complement the product portfolio. Numerous well-known

references for high speed, heavy haul and urban traffic applications from all over the

world demonstrate the comprehensive competence of the company. A comprehensive

2
study is proposed with the following objective:

• To identify why either fundamental or technical analysis or both are used.

• Analyse current market conditions for railway products, identify the

market circumstances, the conditions given by RDSO.

• To see if the present models with complementary natures of fundamental and

technical research have any shortcomings from the perspective of different

Railway Zones.

• To study the present and future behaviour of the Upcoming Tender’s.

As we all are aware of the uncertain situation the Covid-19 has caused, affecting every other

industry. I am very lucky to be working for a company which belongs to the Engineering Products

sector and is helping to accelerate and communicate the vital information amongst the

organization to help them better collaborate during this situation.

an indian partner (family Aggarwal) and with voestalpine VAE GmbH, Austria, a

globally renowned and pioneer company in the field of Railway Track Systems

and its affiliate company JEZ Sistemas Ferroviarios S.L., Spain, specialized in

manufacture of CMS Crossings for conventional, heavy-haul, metros, MRTS and

high-speed applications for domestic and international markets.

voestalpine VAE VKN is also engaged in manufacturing highly specialized alloy

steel and other types of special steel castings ranging from 1 kg to 6,000 kg.

It mostly focuses on the tendered issued by the Indian Railways , Metros

Cooperation etc In my whole internship I was assigned the task of getting touch

with the assistant engineer of North Eastern Railway Zone Head office in

Gorakhpur to fullfill the demands of the 26 units of turnouts units with special

trackout components under their given instructions . Also, apart from that I also

used to calculate the quotation of tender by calculating the different price norms

like labour wages , ferroy alloys costs, iron and steel costs and send it to senior

authority of the company. At last have to quote the value of tender to indian

railway and be in touch with the authority so the tender will be passed and I also
38
keep an eye track so the products will be supplied within time limit to the Indian

railways without any penalties.
