    DETAILED LESSON PLAN

    I. OBJECTIVES
    At the end of the 50-minute period, the Grade 2 and Grade 3 pupils will be able to:
    1. define what is verb;
    2. understand the use of verb; and
    3. create sentences with verbs.

    II. SUBJECT MATTER


    Topic: Verb the action word.
    Materials: power point presentation,
    Reference: English 3, Quarter 2,Module 1 Online resources
    English for you and me Language 2
    Value Focus: Honesty

    III. PROCEDURE

    TEACHER’S ACTIVITY STUDENT’S ACTIVITY


    A. Preliminary Activity

    ”Good Morning class!” “Good Morning Teacher”

    “ok let’s pray first" (one student will lead the prayer)

    “Before you seat please pick up the pieces of paper (the pupils will pick up the pieces of papers)
    under your chair”

    “Before we proceed to our lessons for today will


    check your attendance first”

    (checking of attendance) (pupils will raise their hand and say present
    as the teacher call their name)
    B. Review of Past Lesson

    “Before we move ( to our next lesson, what “Noun”


    did we discuss yesterday?”

    C. Motivation

    Class I have here 3 sets of jumbled words. Your task is


    to arrange it to create a sentence out of it.

    D. Discussion

    Let’s go back to the sentences.

    We notice that they do something.

    What have you noticed on the pictures

    E. Application

    For grade 1 pupils


    I will give you an envelope that contains action word
    picture puzzles, all you have to do is assemble them
    and paste them on the board.

    And for grade 2 pupils

    After grade one pupils complete the puzzles, you will


    convert the action word puzzled pictures into a
    sentence.

    F. Generalization

    Let us see if you really understood the lesson.

    What are the verbs? Verbs are the words that shows action

    Direction: Encircle the verbs in the sentence

    Define what is Adjective and give atleast 5 examples and use it in a sentence.
