Guide to Installation of Couplings

1. Before installation, check whether the groove meets the standards. Remove the burrs of the pipe and sealing
ring, to ensure that there is no impurities in the pipe and sealing ring, the end of the pipe must be clean and
smooth, without uneven defects.

2. Apply a silicon lipid lubricant on the pipe end and sealing ring out surface and the sealing lips, do not use
petroleum base lubricant.

3. Put the sealing ring to the sealing site of a steel pipe.

4. Closer the pipe with another processing groove pipe, put the sealing ring to the pipe end, so that the sealing
ring is just located at the sealing site outside the groove. And ensure that the sealing ring is naturally stretched
without distortion.

5. Confirm that the couplings clamp has stuck the pipe.

6. Use a torque wrench to evenly tighten the nut from both sides until the couplings clamp is tightly buckled
on the pipe. The two side gaps in the rigid couplings clamp junction are equal. There is no gap in the flexible
couplings clamp junction.

7. After the installation is completed, the sealing ring should not be seen from the outside, for rigid couplings
clamp and flexible couplings clamp.

8. Note: For roll grooved, the groove is subject to the diameter of the groove, and the depth of the groove is the
reference size.
