- Simone Weil  Fanaticism – WOAH THAT’S CRAZY SHES MAD
- Conclude – How this all connects to the Lore Etc Etc.

Introduction
We were first introduced to the Bourbaki Group in the DMAORG website, with a picture of a
child. That picture was a cropped photo of this special little man named Andre Weil. WHALE
LOL.
Andre Weil was one of the founders of a boring ass maths group name Nicolas Bourbaki. The
Bourbaki group portrayed themselves as one person, which confused a lot of people. Nicolas
Bourbaki was never a person that existed. The name Nicolas Bourbaki however was a
pseudonym for a man named General Charles Bourbaki.

Whenever Tyler has been asked about the Bourbaki group he says they were named after
Blurryface.

For those who don't know, Charles Denis Bourbaki was a French general who had sent many men
to their death and instead of facing humiliation by surrendering he delegated the duties to
someone else and attempted to take his own life because he wanted a glorious death. However,
the bullet was flattened against his skull and he failed.

I went to listen to clear again and listening to the lyrics "Wage war on you, therefore it's true,
that I shot my general on my side of enemy lines" reminded me of him again. Clear was
released by the band a few years after Tyler left college, however it is very possible that it was
written during that era or inspired by it. As Tyler went to a community college it is possible he
took maths as a class and learnt about the Bourbaki group from there.

Now, if Tyler did in fact learn about the Bourbaki group back then, and learnt that they were
named after Charles Denis Bourbaki, then this all encompassing idea of taking your life to retain
your pride or even create pride is where the idea of the Bourbaki group naming themselves after
Blurryface stems from. and may have influenced his creation of him in the first place. The fact the
bullet got flattened against his skull links into the multiple bullet proof lyrics we have gotten so
far.

If Tyler did learn about all this in college, and next semester is about a panic attack he said he
had whilst he was at college, I wonder if we are going to get any more references to this.
Tyler talked about how wounds when you first get them, referencing his younger self, hurt
everyday, and you are reminded of it everyday which makes it hurt more, but eventually it turns
into a limp and you learn to deal with it. if Tyler was being reminded of that wound every day
with Charles Denis Bourbaki and also the play then I can only imagine it made his college
experience worse.

*include clip of tyler talking about this pls you cunt*

There were nine “founding fathers” of this maths group, the only one with a name connected
to one of the Nine Bishops is Andre.

Andre was arrested for "espionage" in Finland. On him was a fake passport with the name
"Nicolas Bourbaki" and an invitation to Nicolas Bourbaki's daughter "Betty"s wedding to a LION
HUNTER. This "Lion Hunter" was named H. Petard. H. Petard was a different mathematical group,
inspired by the Bourbaki group and they wrote satirical writings. Their most famous one being "A
Mathematical theory of Big Game Hunting" In this writing they explained multiple ways of hunting
a lion using matehmatical methods. The one that stood out to me the most was "There is a
positive probability that the Lion is insde the cage, sit down and wait."
The image I have attached is of the the H. Petard group. And who is it on the right? Andre Weil.
Now onto how this links into the neds. The Ned's gift was thought to be "Extinct". This implies
that they may have been hunted. And now we know Nicolas Bourbaki was affiliated with a
Lion HUNTER.

In the song “Cut my Lip, Tyler says “Lean on my pride, lean on my pride, I’m a lion”. Tyler is also
constantly being hunted by nico. A pride is in reference to a group of lions, is a group of neds
known as a pride? Also ned backwards is “Den” which is referenced in the song My Blood. “If you
find yourself, in a lion’s den”.

There were, two other pictures of the Bourbaki group that were presented to us by the pilots.
Both of which were doctored images, Both were found on Tylers desktop. One of which was on a
Zane Lowe interview and the other was posted by Tyler himself to mock us because he had the
songs and we didn’t (what an ass)

In both of the original imgaes, there is a woman with the group, although she was not apart of it.
This woman was named SIMONE WEIL. PEWW PEW PEW PEWW PEWWW *AIRHORN*

Simone Weil was also Andre Weil’s sister.

Simone Weil was a French philosopher and political-activist. She was described as having "a
precocious gift for sympathy—and more than a hint of masochism. She sought out the darkness
to escape the comfortable bourgeois life "
Simone Weil's death was considered a suicide. She starved herself, a hunger strike, in sympathy
of starving French compatriots, and died of malnutrition.

someone mentioned that "Weil" (Pronounced veil) sounds like a connection to Vialism. I decided
to then look up "Weilism" and it came up with two results.

BOTH IN RELATION TO SIMONE WEIL

The first was a google groups message from 2010. On this page was a man saying he was going
to perform a movement called "Weilism" where he would also go on a hunger strike.

"we will call this movement Weilism I have decided to go on Hunger Strike from Mondays to
Fridays eating only Naan bread and drinking only water I will revert to normal on Saturdays and
Sundays I decided this before I read more about Simone Weil's life on the Internet"

He then goes onto use quite, cult like/religious language when describing Simone Weil's work.
Usually a "fast" is something people do as a religious practice, however this man seems to be
performing this act to honour his father, and as part of his political movement for the elections.

"Simone wished for a Gospel type Revolution - nuff said - use myleaflet design for the ward you
are standing in stand as an Independent - Party Politics will end - the Houses of Parliament will
become a House of Independents we will take over the Councils first - I will always put You
before myself but will lead until Death"
Vialism and the glorious gone in lore is when suicide is glorified as a way of reaching paradise.
This man is glorifying Simone Weil's suicide.

The second was a book written by the University of Windsor in the 1950s. This is what they had to
say about Simone Weil

" Simone Weil, that socialist mystic whan scrupulosity prevented from crossing the final barrier to
Catholic conversion, has influenced Miss Murdoch's writing . After recommending her (Simone's)
Notebooks as an excellent introduction to Miss Weil's life and spiritual pilgrim age, Miss Murdoch
stated that many of the views expressed on sacrifice , guilt, and essential goodness by Max Lejour
in The Unicorn originated in "Weilian" philosophy. Quoting a Weilism: " It is of no avail to act
above one's natural level Miss Murdoch suggested that this in ability to react to situations in
other than a predetermined way (determined by one's own emotional and intellectual makeup)
imprisons Michael Meade and other Murdoch characters. "

Once again, acting on/quoting Simone Weils principals was named "Weilism".

This part of our research was the part we fully agreed on the connection.

Now comes the wishy washy stuff.

There were many quotes we found that seemed like they may have links into the lore, but its not
100%.

The first is Weil's definition of "Kenosis".

We found this extremely interesting. Not only does Kenosis remind us of the name Keons. But
this is basically a lyric in Overcompensate. "Overtake your former self". Kenosis is also described
as self-emptying. A way to become an available vessel. However, in a human nature term, and
not a religious one, it denotes the continual epiklesis and self-denial of one's own human will and
desire. "All I feel is denial, denial, denial".

Furthermore, Nick said "Idk why i feed on emotion, there's a stomach inside my brain" Yes that
song is old BUT if your brain were to go on a hunger strike and just refuse to think or work
properly or let you experiencec your life that could be likened to either the very dull and
practically lifeless quality of Dema, OR it could be the "emptying of the self" thing we found last
night and could relate back to seizing.

The next quote, could sound like the definition of the creation of Dema and Trench.

Weil outlines a civilization based not on force, which turns a person into a thing, but on free
labor, which in its engagement with and consent to necessary forces at play in the world,
including time and death, allows for direct contact with reality.

This one could be a reference to seizing/smearing.

"Attention consists of suspending our thought, leaving it detached [disponible], empty [vide], and
ready to be penetrated by the object; it means holding in our minds, within the reach of this
thought, but on the lower level and not in contact with it, the diverse knowledge we have
acquired which we are forced to make use of. … Above all our thought should be empty [vide],
waiting [en attente], not seeking anything [ne rien chercher], but ready to receive in its naked
truth the object that is to penetrate it."

Keons has the power to focus, we know this from the letters, is this Simone Weils power of
attention? This quote sounds like someone preparing to be smeared/seized. In Jumpsuit, Tyler is
standing still, waiting for Nico to approach him and smear him. In Levitate, Tyler is sitting staring
into space before Nico grabs him by the neck.

I may update this in the future, but this is what we found!
