(90 ÷ 60) x 50 = 75 miles

How long will it take me to walk from my house to
the supermarket 1.5 miles down the road?

(1.5 ÷ 0.75) x 30 = 60 minutes = 1 hour

4. Yesterday I ran 9.6 miles at an average speed of 0.4 miles


per 5 minutes. How long did it take me to run the 9.6 miles?

9.6 ÷ (60 ÷ 5 x 0.4) = 2 hours

5. The distance between 2 cities is 7,200 miles. How long

7,200 ÷ 600 = 12 hours

6. The distance between my house and my school is 8 miles and takes


10 minutes by bus. How fast is the bus?
