ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
First and foremost, we give thanks to Sir Marvin S. Palattao, the CES Principal
or letting us have our Immersion at their school. And for his designations to us in different
sections of their school wherein we can showcase our full A potential and skills and to where
we can fit ourselves as much as possible.
To Sir Christian Domingo, who served as my supervisors as I take the school training.
Through words and deeds, they taught me not only about office stuffs but also a true-to-life
advice that I can use even when I am grown up. The ones that stands as my second Father in
the field that we are not familiar with. And the persons that supports me in every struggle that
I had encountered as I continue my journey.
To Rosemarie P. Binalay, my girlfriend, who supports me in every way she can even if she
has an struggle to school works that she need to look up to and to the patience and understand
that she had sacrificed and gave up just for me.
To my parents, Mr. & Mrs. Castillo, who morally and financially supports me
in order to finish my Immersion on-time and without any disturbances or interruptions that
would make me look bad especially to my supervisors.

INTRODUCTION
One of the goals of the K to 12 Basic Education Program is to develop learners the
competencies, work ethic, and values relevant to pursuing further education and/or joining
the world of work. To achieve greater congruence between basic education and the nation’s
development targets, Work Immersion, a required subject, has been incorporated into the
curriculum. This subject will provide learners with opportunities: 1. to become familiar with
the workplace; 2. for employment simulation; and 3. to apply their competencies in areas of
specialization/applied subjects in authentic work environments.
To achieve the above objectives, Work immersion is thus a requirement for graduation
from secondary education. Learners are immersed in actual work environments such as
workshops offices and laboratories in which their prior training is relevant. These guidelines
can provide process support to field offices of the Department of Education (DepEd) in
fostering relationships and strengthening partnerships so that learners will have access to
suitable work immersion venues and other related resources.
Through Work Immersion, the students are exposed to and become familiar with work
related environment related to their field of specialization to enhance their competence.
Specifically, the students are able to: (i) gain relevant and practical industrial skills under the
guidance of industry experts and workers; (ii)appreciate the importance and application of the
principles and theories taught in school; (iii) enhance their technical knowledge and skills;
(iv) enrich their skills in communications and human relations; and (v)
develop good work habits, attitudes, appreciation, and respect for work. These prepare them to
meet the needs and challenges of employment or higher education after graduation.

1. To develop a better communication.
2. To adapt a new environment.
3. To improve, develop, and apply their competencies.
4. To prepare them for employment.
Dependable. Superiors are eyeing for someone whom they can rely on, a person to whom
they can delegate responsibilities, thus making sure that the operations in the office are
carried out properly even in their absence. In fact, in a survey conducted, it was revealed that
dependability is the best qualification that employers are looking for in an employee.
2 |
Good Communicators. Employers will look for someone who can express themselves
clearly both in written and oral communication. Proper communication skills will lessen
common company problems in the workplace like miscommunication and misunderstanding
among employees
or between a superior and its subordinate.
Professional/Ethical. Rules are set in the office to make sure that not only work is carried
out properly but the harmonious relationships among employers are also
maintained. Employers would want someone who follows company policies and exudes
professionalism, thus serving as a good example to others.

MY REFLECTION
This 80 hours of immersion is helpful and a meaningful experience during Senior High
School days. It is amazing you can gain more knowledge, ideas, insight and background in
choosing what course you are going to take in college. This experience helps me on how to
be a responsible, a better person and a successful professional someday.
The lesson that I gained is how to be tough, have perseverance in doing the activities that
my cooperating teacher assigned. Even if you feel tired and your neck was aching, you still
need to act that you are okay. However, it is still enjoyable because you can talk with the
pupils around you and you can feel happy, can laugh about their doings and knowing who
their crushes are. Sometimes I need to be like them, so that I can mingle with them. It is the
best way to communicate them and to know what they like. I am happy that
I learn on how to interact or socialize with the pupils even we are not in the same age.
