“But the rice is still in the cooking pot. Mother is still cooking it. If we eat the rice, it will be very hot,” said
his son.
“I don’t care! If you all don’t eat now, you will never eat again,” said Pak Pesut.

Long Time ago in a jungle of Java, a tiger was wandering around for food. He hadn't been eating for
days. He was really hungry! While he was approaching a small lake, he saw Mouse Deer drinking. The tiger
wanted to eat him. Tiger slowly ducked, crawled, and held his breath. He caught Mouse Deer and bit his leg.
Mouse Deer was trembling. He was really shocked. But he tried to be calm. He was thinking of a plan to
escape from Tiger. He looked around and suddenly he had an idea.
He said, "Hey Tiger, I know you are hungry and want to eat me. But the king will angry if he knows you eat
me now."
"Why? The king knows that I eat meat. I eat animals like you! Said Tiger.
Mouse Deer explained, "I guard king's cake. It's very delicious. Only the king and his family eat it. "Mouse
Deer pointed at one big, black lump near the lake. It did not look delicious at all. But Tiger was curious.
"Don't be fooled by its appearance. Its taste is very delicious. That's why it meant for kings. And you won't
get hungry for a month after you eat it. I tasted it once, "said Mouse Deer.
Tiger's mouth watered. "Can I taste it?"
"Of course you can not The king will punish me like he did when I tasted it last time. He would kill me if
something happened to the cake again!"
“Well...it's all up to you. I eat you or I eat the cake. The choice is yours."
"Well, then. You don't give me much choice, Tiger. You can have the cake. But first, let me run away as far
as I can. By the way, the king won't be able to get me."
"All right...Now, go!" He was really hungry. He could not wait any longer to eat king's cake.
Mouse Deer took a safe distance away from Tiger. But he still could watch him, as Tiger eagerly took the
peace of the 'cake'.
“Phooey, it's no cake! It's...it's buffalo's dung! I'll get you, Mouse Deer! You! Watch it!"
But Mouse Deer was already far away. He laughed aloud. Mouse Deer was safe for now. But Next Time, he
might meet face to face with Tiger again.

Is your refrigerator getting messy and dirty? I’ll advise you on how to clean it.
First of all, prepare a cloth, a dish towel, a knife or spatula, vinegar and some water. Then, empty the
refrigerator. Place the things on the table or in empty baskets. Throw out aged or inedible food. Toss out
anything you don’t use regularly.
After that, defrost the refrigerator. Use a knife or spatula to gently remove the ice built-up on the shelves and
dispose of it.
Next, wipe your refrigerator inside and outside using a cloth, vinegar and water. Rinse the cloth properly with
clean water. Also, do not neglect to clean the door.
Finally, use the dish towel to dry the refrigerator. Let it dry thoroughly before you replace everything. You
should keep your refrigerator organized with meat, cheese and butter on one shelf. It will be better if you
store raw meat on the bottom shelf to avoid meat juices dripping on to the shelf below. Put the vegetable in
the crisper.
Clean your refrigerator once a month. Please remember, do not wash a cold glass shelf with hot water. The
sudden temperature change could shatter the glass.

The Suramadu Bridge (Indonesian: Jembatan Suramadu), also known as the Surabaya–Madura Bridge, is a
bridge with three cable-stayed sections constructed between Surabaya on the island of Java and the town of
Bangkalan on the island of Madura in IndonesiA. Opened on June 10, 2009, the 5.4-km bridge is the longest
in Indonesia and the first bridge to cross the Madura Strait.
The cable-stayed portion has three spans with lengths 192 m, 434 m and 192 m. The bridge has two lanes in
each direction plus an emergency lane and a dedicated lane for motorcycles. The first toll bridge in
Indonesia, fares have been initially set at Rp. 30,000 (US$3 in 2009) for four-wheeled vehicles and Rp. 3,000
(US$0.30) for two-wheelers.
The bridge was built by a consortium of Indonesian companies PT AdhiKarya and PT WaskitaKarya working
with China Road and Bridge Corp. and China Harbor Engineering Co. LtD. The total cost of the project,
including connecting roads, has been estimated at 4.5 trillion rupiah (US$445 million).
Construction was started on August 20, 2003. In July 2004, a girder collapsed, killing one worker and
injuring nine others. Work on the bridge halted at the end of 2004 due to lack of funds, but was restarted in
November 2005. The main span of the bridge was connected on March 31, 2009, and the bridge was opened
to the public in June 10, 2009.Within a week of the opening, it was discovered that nuts and bolts as well as
maintenance lamps had been stolen and that there was evidence of vandalism of cables supporting the main
span.
