INTRODUCTION
The term environment has been come from a French word Environia which means to surround. It
refers to both a biotic (physical or non-living things) and biotic (alive) environment. The word
environment which means surroundings, in which organisms living. Environment and the
organisms are two dynamic and complex are two parts of the nature. Environment controls the life
of the organisms as well as human beings. Human beings relate with the environment more
strongly than other living beings. Ordinarily environment states to the materials and forces that
surrounds the alive organism. Environmental pollution is not a new phenomenon, yet it ruins the
world’s biggest problem facing humanity, and the leading environmental causes of illness and
death. Human beings’ actions through urbanization, industrialization, exploration and mining,
exploration is at the lead of worldwide environmental pollution. Both developing and developed
countries share this burden together, though alertness and stricter laws in developed nations have
contributed to a larger extent in defensive their environment. In spite of the global attention
towards pollution, the impact is still being felt just because its severe continuing consequences
Air Pollution- When the air of the atmosphere is filled with poisonous gases released as result
of industrial or other economic actions, its consequences to polluting the atmosphere and the air
in the environment. This is nothing but this called as air pollution.
Water Pollution- Natural water resources reducing day by day, water is a rare commodity. But
even in these times, the water sources are polluted by toxins from various sources, making them
incompetent for human consumption.
Noise Pollution- Annoying or unnecessary sound that can have deleterious effects on human
wildlife, health, and environmental quality. Noise pollution is commonly produced inside
many industrial facilities and some other factories, but it also comes from railway, highway,
and airplane traffic and from outdoor building activities.
Land Pollution- Land pollution, the deposition of liquid or solid waste materials on land or
underground in a way that can pollute the soil and groundwater, threaten civic health, and cause
unsightly situations and nuisances.
Pollution in all kinds is a foremost environmental issue in India. Any unwanted change in the
environment, water, air, soil, land, etc. can be called as pollution. These changes could be in the
chemical, physical or even biological changes. The agents that bring around or cause this pollution
are called pollutants. In India, there are several laws that support in curbing pollution. These laws are
proposed to protect the environment as well as enhance its quality. One such act is the Environment
(Protection) Act, 1986. Section 2(a) of Environment Protection Act, 1986 elaborate Environment.
ISSUES OF ENVIROMENTAL POLLUTION
AIR POLLUTION: -
According to the dictionary, air pollution is the adulteration of air by harmful gases and smoke, by
mol primarily oxides of carbon, nitrogen and Sulphur. examples of air pollution include:
➢ Exhaust smokes from vehicles
➢ The burning of fossil fuels, such as oil, coal, or gas
➢ Injurious off-gassing from things such as plastic paint production, and so on
➢ Nuclear or Radiation spills accidents.
➢ Air pollution is linked to allergies, asthma and other respiratory diseases.
➢ Burning (of natural gas, coal & wood in industries, petroleum, automobiles aircrafts etc.)
➢ Metallurgical processing (fumes containing fluorides, mineral dust, Sulphides etc.)
➢ chemical trades
➢ processing industries (like wheat flour mills, cotton textiles)
➢ stone crushing, welding etc.
Effects of Air pollution on human health:
Much evidence associates air pollutants to respiratory other diseases in humans’ beings. Examples of
air pollution-related to diseases are:
➢ impaired lung function & Pulmonary irritation: chronic bronchitis and emphysema
➢ Cancer
➢ emphysema
➢ Systemic toxicity.
Lead, Mercury
➢ Increased vulnerability to disease
Effects of Air Pollution on other animals & plants:
➢ Wild & domestic animals perhaps affected in the same ways as humans beings
➢ Plants was hurt by ozone, sulfur dioxide, & acids:
ozone - declines pine needles & makes them more susceptible to insects & diseases
sulfur dioxide - defeats growth
acid - damages leaves & pointers & also eliminates nutrients
LAND POLLUTION: -
Land pollution is the ruin of the Earth's surface caused by a mismanagement of resources and
inappropriate disposal of waste. Some examples of the land pollution include:
➢ Litter originates on the side of the road
➢ Unlawful throwing away in natural habitats
➢ Oil spills that occur inland
➢ The usage of pesticides and other farming chemicals
➢ Damage and debris began from logging practices and unsustainable mining
➢ Radiation spills or nuclear accidents.
Land pollution is accountable for damage done to natural habitat of animals, forest cutting and hurt
done to natural resources, and the general detonating up of our communities.
NOISE POLLUTION: -
Noise pollution is any loud sounds that are either damaging or annoying to humans and animals, Some
examples of the noise pollution are:
➢ helicopters, Airplanes, and motor vehicles.
➢ demolition noise or Construction
➢ Human doings such as concerts or sporting events
➢ Noise pollution can be troublemaking to humans' stress levels, may be damaging to unborn babies,
and drives animals away by causing nervousness and falling their ability to hear prey or
predators.
➢ Numerous industries such as printing presses, textile mills, engineering establishments.
➢ Agriculture machineries like harvesters, tractors, tube wells etc.
➢ cracker used at occasions like marriages & festivals
➢ Stone crushing, construction work etc.
➢ transportation vehicles
➢ Public lecture systems like loud speakers.
➢ dynamite blasting.
Control of noise pollution: -
➢ Noise pollution controlling laws
➢ Decibels meters
➢ Sound diversion
➢ green belt vegetation or green mufflers
➢ Ear plugs & earmuffs Allowable time & sound permission level for use of crackers
WATER POLLUTION: -
Water pollution is, the pollution of any body of water (groundwater, lakes, oceans, etc.).
Bases of water pollution: -
Natural bases- leaching of minerals, clay & slit from soil erosion, dropping of organic matter from
banks.
Man-made bases: -
➢ municipal wastes water
➢ house wastes water.
➢ local sewage
➢ exterior run off (contain pesticides & fertilizers)
Some examples of water pollution: -
➢ Raw sewage running into lake or streams
➢ Industrial waste spills contaminating groundwater
➢ Radiation spills or nuclear fates
➢ Illegal throwing away of elements or items within bodies of water
➢ Biological pollution, such as bacteria growth
➢ Farm runoff into adjacent bodies of water
These kinds of environmental pollution are linked health issues in humans, animals and plant-life.
Control of water pollution: -
➢ Biodegradation of local sewage.
➢ Suspended, solid elements & inorganic material can be detached by use of filter
➢ Industrial effluents under numerous treatments to lower pollutants rate
➢ Any type of waste solid does not release into water bodies
➢ Agriculture runoff water must be diminished
➢ In industry their necessity be a water treatment plant
OBJECTIVE
To develop further understanding of the theories and concepts covered in the course.
To develop a practice of learning new aspects of the subject and develop a habit of research
related to the subject.
After making this assignment I learned how to research about case law reflated to particular
topic.
During making this project I learned all the topic related to “Plea of alibi” which will be helpful
in my exam.
CONCLUSION
It was a delightful and knowledgeable experience for me while working on this Project. This project
gives me batter thinking and knowledge about the environment and its issues which damaging the
humans and other organisms’ day by day. I tried my best to include all the necessary points that are
required and related to the given topic. Some of the material which I wrote in the project were taken
from websites. This project contains information about environmental pollution and issues like water
pollution, land pollution etc. I do hope that my project will give all the information you required
