Padma Bandari for their support and guidance in completing our project on the topic
(SPACE HOTEL). It was a great learning experience.
• I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all of my group members
the project would not have been successful without their cooperation and inputs.
• Your useful advice and suggestions were really helpful to me during the project’s
completion. In this aspect, I am eternally grateful to you.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

A warm welcome to all of you! In this summary we have explained all about our project
in a short form. In this presentation we have different slides showcasing multiple topics like
introduction of our space hotel (Star Gateway) and the concept of the project, which are the
basics.
Furthermore, we are discussing what the project is meant for, important features of the project
and about the project. Then we are showing the external and the internal structure. Moving
forward we have dimensions of major components. Rotating and non-rotating sections.
1.0 INTRODUCTION
1.1 What is this project meant for?
• A space hotel is vision as a unique destination for individuals seeking an extraordinary
and immersive experience. It caters to those who have a needed interest in space
exploration, luxury travelers for unimaginable views, and adventurers an once-in-a-
lifetime journey beyond Earth's atmosphere.
• Additionally, it serves as a platform for advancing space tourism and promoting
commercial activities in space.

1.2 About the project

• Several companies have expressed great interest in developing space hotels, but
specific projects were in various stages of planning and development. Private
companies like Axiom Space and SpaceX has proposed creating commercial space
stations that could potentially host space hotels.

• The concept involves constructing multiple habitable modules in low Earth orbit,
offering individuals the opportunity to experience life in space for a limited duration.
It will also provide people with breathtaking views of the Earth and other celestials.
These space hotels aim to cater to space tourists, researchers, and astronauts.

[INTERNAL STRUCTURE]

1.4 Salient features of the project

• The space hotel is a large space structure that is 240 meters long. It consists of four
sections: the energy supply, a guest room module, a public area, and a platform. The
space hotel would float in a low earth orbit and would allow people who have not
received any training to enjoy space travel.
• The greatest objective of this space travel is to see the earth. Travelers would be able to
view the glowing globe of earth in the clear blue, the thin veil of the atmosphere, the
beautiful clouds, and the dawn of sunrise on earth. They would also spend their time
stargazing, playing sports and eating in zero-gravity space, and communicating with the
earth, which is surely an exciting experience.

1.5 Location of the project

World’s best luxury space hotel [STAR GATEWAY] will be located 200 miles above the
Earth’s surface.
1.6 Construction materials
As such space settlements and hotels could be built from the same kinds of materials we use
here on Earth, Steel, Titanium, Aluminum, Glass and even Concrete.

1.7 Basic Human needs

• Humans must have oxygen, food, water, and rest to survive. These needs are usually
simple to meet on Earth but to meet these needs in space is very complicated. The gases
in space cannot support human life. In fact, most of space contains no gases at all which
is, what scientists call a vacuum.

2.1 Basic shapes and structure

The space hotel will have artificial gravity, therefore the structure will comprise a central ring
which is the Acceleration Belt, and it will rotate to create enough centrifugal force for artificial
gravity. It will have a docking station right at the top and a further outer ring connected via poles.

2.2 Hull components

The space hotel consists of four main components: habitation modules, nodes, center module
and connecting modules between the habitation modules and the center modules.

2.3 Structural view

2.4 Dimensions of major components
The dimension will be 11 meter in length and 4.5 meter in diameter, because this can be the
biggest size.

2.5 Materials used for construction

As such space settlements could be built from much the same kinds of materials we use here on
Earth, Steel, Titanium, Aluminum, Glass and even Concrete.

2.6 Rotating and non-rotating section

Rotating
Rotation is a fundamental physical process throughout the Universe. So much is
spinning, from planets and stars revolving on their axes, to whole spiral galaxies
rotating around their center.
Non- Rotating sections
Non-rotating refers to something that is not rotating or not capable of rotation. In
a non-rotating system, two traveling waves combine to produce a stationary
standing wave.

2.7 Constructional sequence

9 minutes. The Star Gateway will be the first commercial space station with the one of its sort
lavish hotel that can accommodate up to 400 individuals and offers expectation of our star
gateway for traveler

2.8 Docking and Thrusting

What is docking?
Docking specifically refers to joining of two separate free-flying space vehicles. Berthing refers
to mating operations where a passive module/vehicle is placed into the mating interface of
another space vehicle by using a robotic arm.

What is thrusting?
Docking specifically refers to joining of two separate free-flying space vehicles. Berthing refers
to mating operations where a passive module/vehicle is placed into the mating interface of
another space vehicle by using a robotic arm.
3. BASIC HUMAN NEEDS
3.1 Atmosphere generation
Using local rocks. Some celestial bodies like Mars have water and gasses trapped
in rocks and beneath surface. Heating might in some cases just be enough to
create an atmosphere. In other cases, a combined heating and impacting process
could be used.
3.1.1 Oxygen & other gases
There are different types of compositions of air:
Nitrogen- 78%
Oxygen- 21%
Carbon dioxide- 0.03%
Argon- 0.9%
Other gases (dust particles and water vapour) - 0.07%

(AND)

Most of the oxygen aboard the ISS is created through electrolysis. This process uses electricity
from ISS solar panels to make hydrogen and oxygen out of water. Oxygen made aboard a
spacecraft is done through the use of oxygen generators.

3.1.2 Water
The ECLSS water recycling system developed at the shuttle’s fuel cells,
From urine, from oral hygiene and hard washing, and by condensing humidity from the air.
Without such careful recycling 40,000 pounds per year of water from earth would be required
to resupply a minimum of for the life of the station.

3.1.3 Food
Restaurant name is:
THE CLASSIC PALATE:
1. Less oily
2. Less spicy
3. More hygienic
4. All types of are available here in the category of vegetarian and non-vegetarian in the form of
Marathi, Gujrati, South Indian, Indian, Punjabi etc.
5. Unique dishes are available here.

3.2 Thermal Rejection

Heat rejection systems are designed to manage excess heat during both active and passive
thermal control. These systems utilize radiators or heat exchangers to efficiently expel heat from
the spacecraft into the surrounding space environment. This process also helps maintain desired
temperatures by preventing heat build-up.

3.3 Energy & pressure

Pressure
It is necessary, for the health and well-being of the crew and guests that an Earth-like
atmosphere is provided on the station. To achieve this, a pressure of approximately 101.3 kPa
and a relative humidity of 25 % to 75 % is required.

Energy

The energy used in the space hotel would be generated from expandable solar panels and
batteries.

3.4 Radiation
What is Radiation?
Radiation is energy that comes from a source and travels through space at the speed of light.
This energy has an electric field and a magnetic field associated with it, and has wave-like
properties. You could also call radiation “electromagnetic waves”.

Protection from radiation:

Background radiation will not be a particular risk for space hotel guests who will come to orbit
once in a few years for a few days. Assuming a radiation shielding similar to the Space Shuttle,
the maximum does equivalent (14 days stay time, max. altitude, and max. RBE) will be 7.3 mSv.
In general, the best shields will be able to block a spectrum of radiation. Aboard the space
station, the use of hydrogen-rich shielding such as polyethylene in the most frequently
occupied locations, such as the sleeping quarters and the galley, has reduced the crew's
exposure to space radiation.

3.5 Waste Management

Astronauts can process small pieces of trash in a high-temperature reactor, which breaks the
waste down into water, oxygen, and other gases which the crew can use or vent as needed.
Besides the gases, the remainder of the waste is greatly reduced in size, and no longer
biologically active.

4. OPERATIONS AND AUTOMATED SYSTEMS

4.1 Controlling and Monitoring

Most spacecraft in low Earth orbit (LEO) makes use of magnetic de-tumbling concept which
utilizes the effect of the Earth’s magnet field. The control algorithm is called the B - Dot
controller and relies on magnetic coil or torque rods as control actuators.

4.2 Communication
Communication in eternity is designed very commonly with cost effective with better way using
the amateur radios by improving their designs. Amateur radios are useful in emergency
purpose.

4.3 Transportation
Transportation in eternity is done through an electric trains or mod like system. So, these
mods will be running on the basis of solar power. These are commonly known as electric
rails.

4.4 Docking
Docking specifically refers to joining of two separate free – flying space vehicles.
Berthing refers to mating operation where a passive module / vehicle is placed
into the mating interface of another space vehicle by using a robotic arm.
4.5 Security
Security systems like access controls, automatic doors, intercoms, and key
fobs protect your property and your employees. Your guests will settle in safe and
luxurious lodging.
4.6 Industries
