BATCHING PLANT INSTALLATION METHOD STATEMENT
1 PURPOSE:
This procedure is intended to define in general the procedure for the installation of Batching Plant of 30
m3/h, plant to be installed at the designated project site location, the plant shall be used in the production of
different grades of concrete for the project. And ensure the integrity of the work that will be conducted by
CONSTRUCTION SUPPLY SERVICES INTEGRATED (CSSI) on the project HASSI MESSAOUD
UPSIDE NORTH PROJECT, with full compliance of the project specifications.
2 SCOPE:
This Method Statement has been prepared to illustrate the safe method and sequence of work required to
carry out Batch Plant Installation. Works that will be performed by CSSI in the HASSI MESSAOUD
UPSIDE NORTH PROJECT.

4 HEALTH AND SAFETY:
Lighting arrangements
Since a part of the erection and commissioning works would also be carried out during late hours, therefore
lighting arrangement are required. Portable tower lighting will be provided till the supply of permanent
lighting commence.
Safety
Safety awareness will be followed during installation works and the safety procedures and precautions shall
be adopted.
General:
Permit to work should be obtained prior to start work.
Working area to be barricaded by caution tape.
Use of proper tools, to be handled by authorized persons only.

Use of proper safety shoes, safety belts, safety helmets, gloves eye protection & any other safety
accessories as required during the process.
Work areas and access ways are to be free from debris, materials and all tripping hazards. Access
road shall be demarcated and banks man / security shall be placed to control the vehicle.
Vehicles and Equipment:
All vehicles and equipment must be inspected by the Plant Department with assistance of HSE
department prior to mobilization to site and all lifting tools and crane should have certification.
Working at Height:
All work at height shall conform to the standard requirements of Working at Height and positive

Scaffolding with hand rails.
Safety harness and static line or appropriate anchorage.
All lifting equipment used on the site is to be inspected.
5 EQUIPMENT:
Equipment to be used in the execution of the works is listed in 5.1.1

6 RESPONSIBILITIES:
Civil supervisor: Responsible for the day-to-day execution of civil
activities covered under this Procedure.
HSE supervisor: Responsible for Monitoring all HSE activities.
Surveyor: Responsible for all surveying activities.

7 INSTALLATION METHOD
This section describes about the relevant sequence of key steps and stages to complete the scope.
Work Preparation
The following activities shall be completed prior to erection of the plant.
Selection of site based on area required for plant set up.
Leveling of the area.
Foundation layout marking as per drawing attached in Appendix A.
Construction of foundation as per drawing attached in Appendix A.
Erection Procedure
Strat excavation with excavator.
Prepare Foundations Formwork, Rebars, Concrete & anchor bolts.
Bottom frame to be placed with the help crane over foundation and its bolt should be tightened properly.
Top frame to be placed with the help of crane over bottom frame to be tightened with the help of
bolt and nut.
All equipment: Cement silos, compartment batcher, mixer drump to be placed with the help of
crane over platform and to be fixed with the help of nut and bolt.

Aggregate weighing hopper, cement hopper & water hopper will be erected and bolted to top
frame.
Fix ladder for main mixer structure.
Assemble and erect inclined Cement.
Check all parts fitting and nut bolts.
Erect and fix control cabin with support.
Connect all electric cables and panels.
Connect all the pneumatic and electric connection as per drawing.
Install computer and printer.
