One-on One Tutorial
There were different pedagogical approaches used in Brigada Pagbasa Program, they are storytelling, reading aloud, shared reading, guided
reading and independent reading which really help to all the beneficiaries of this program to have focus and concentration whenever they have
their reading class. Assessing played a very important strategy to the students because it helps them understand the main points stated in the
passage and helps the teacher to evaluate the learners’ progress. It is also helped students to check their reading comprehension.
The teacher‘s grave concern in a teacher dominant role of assessing and evaluating students‘ comprehension for better learning revealed in this
study contradicts the current pedagogy that pinpoints the necessity of student engagement and interaction for learner progress.
SUSTAINABILITY PLAN
Continue implementing the program for those learners that needs guidance in reading and make an assessment to ease their concerns related to
reading with comprehension until the end of school year.
