LEARNING OBJECTIVE MATERIAL REQUIRED


 Students will be able to distinguish  PPT slides
between different types of business  Handouts
documents, understand their formats,  Video tutorials
and comprehend their purposes in  English Newspaper/Article
professional settings.
INSTRUCTIONS

 Discussing the format, content, and purpose of memorandums and circulars. Explain how these
documents are used for internal communication within an organization.
 Distributing handouts with sample memorandums and circulars. Ask students to analyze the
structure and content, highlighting key elements.
 Explaining the purpose and format of meeting minutes. Discuss the importance of accuracy and
clarity in recording meeting discussions.
 Explaining the purpose and significance of market reports in business. Discuss the elements
typically included in market reports.

CLASS ASSESMENT ACTIVITIES

 Providing a mock meeting scenario. Ask students to take notes and draft meeting
minutes based on the discussion.
 Providing a case study or real-life market report. Discuss its components and how it
contributes to business decision-making.

HOME ASSIGNMENT/QUIZ/PROJECT
 Home task: Assign students to create a sample document (memorandum, circular, meeting
minutes, business report, or market report) based on a given scenario.
 Final Term Project: Make a comprehensive business communication plan along with PPT
slides for a fictitious or real company. The plan should include following elements such as:
o Communication Strategy: Develop a strategy for effective internal and external
communication within the organization.
o Crisis Communication Plan: Create a crisis communication plan outlining how
the company will communicate during crises or emergencies.
o Social Media Strategy: Outline a social media strategy for the company to
enhance its online presence and engagement.
o Customer Communication: Develop customer communication templates, such as
email responses, to ensure consistency in customer interactions.
o Employee Training: Propose a training program to enhance communication skills
among employees.
o Measurement and Evaluation: Describe how the effectiveness of the
communication plan will be measured and evaluated over time.
o Note: (This project will allow students to integrate their knowledge and skills in business
communication into a practical plan that can be used in a real-world business scenario ).
 Deadline: One week before Final Exam
