1 General Purposes
- Assure the good operation of the plant equipment’s, thought the planning, monitoring
and implementation of maintenance and repair of all diesel engine cylinder heads,
assuring compliance with rules and procedures established by the company.
2 General Functions
- Participate with the maintenance manager in the preparation of the annual program of
preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance of the workshop to ensure the
optimization of all resources according to the operation plan.
- Review the work orders assuring they are on time and under the necessary
specifications for the planning of the resources required, minimizing the unnecessary
spare parts utilization.
- Follow up the work program of the workshop, ensuring cylinder heads maintenance is
implemented with the required quality and on time, carrying out with safety standards of
the company.
- Review all services reports, checklist and other forms related to cylinder heads
maintenance activities to verify the proper execution of works.
- Planning and Supervising all cylinder heads maintenance to be held in the workshop in
order with the priorities of the plant, assuring a quickly and efficiently job, according to
the manufacture’s specifications.
- Respond quickly to unplanned task with an effective personnel utilization to minimize
time away of production.
- Work with the workshop coordinator in relation of equipment’s conditions, maintenance
activities required and overhaul scheduled.
- Elaborate and submit the overtime report of personnel in charge, sent to the
administration department and follow-up the payment of overtime hours.
- Send recommendations to the workshop coordinator about the cylinder heads and spare
parts repaired in the workshop and an estimated date of incorporation of this equipment
is to the plant to assure the proper functioning of this equipment has or parts.
- Coordination of diesel engine field services.
- Assembly and disassembly of cylinder heads according to manufacturing
recommendations.
- Performed full overhauls and reconditioning of cylinder heads. (Inlet and outlet valves
inspection, rectify valves as is required, seat valves measure and reconditioning as is
required, gasket changes).
- Experience in the use and maintenance on the following equipment; Block boring
machine, cylinder head cutting machine, Milling machine experience & Lathing machine
experience.
- Keep track of cylinder head maintenance history records.
- Reconditioning, cleaning, and sandblasting parts.
- Full detailed evaluations of new and used parts.
- Follow-up and enforce the safety standards and the environment rules established by
the company to preserve the integrity and security of personnel, equipment’s and
facilities of the plant.
- To perform other compatible and complementary works.
