A University Degree Is Not Necessary To Succeed.


“Successful and unsuccessful people do not very greatly in their abilites.
They very in desires to reach their potential.” These sage words by John
Maxwell. Key for a successful life is dedication, hard work, motivation and love
toward what you do. University degree is important in some contexts of life
but, it is not necessary or mandatory to get success from only in this way.
Success is all because of the passion, hard work and life experiences. Is it true
that a university degree is the only way to catch our dream? People can be
success through many other methods and a university degree is not the only
choice of it. There are many other ways to career path and there are no fully
assurance to degree holder to be success. Plus, in the university, there is no
practical and detailed learning specialization if you are not explore it by your
own.

At the forefront of this topic, there are many other alternatives career
path to success and not cardinal for being a degree holder. It is a truth that
having a higher education such as degree can let us apply a higher salary job
but it is not essential for being the tycoons. For instance, Bill Gates, Steve Job
and Richard Lee choose to give up their opportunity to finish the university
education and start business. They can still run their business very well and
earn a huge sum of money. Hence, university education is not crucial element
for being a successful person because there are 1001 other ways to get it.

Another point to ponder is that there are no fully guarantee to degree


holder to be success just because of the university degree that they have.
Companies need more workers than workers need jobs. Instead of weeding
people out, businesses are tasked with figuring out how to bring new talent in.
The boss will take workers by their working quality and ability not only by the
university certificate. The ability to get the project done in order to help the
boss earning profit. To give an instance, although the workers has a high
education level, the boss would still fire him or her if they make trouble some
to the company. Therefore, there are no assurance that alumus will be in a first
choice list by the company to work in.

Last but not least, in the university, the lecture will not teach how to
apply the practical of the theory if the students are not explore it by their own.
Hundreds of students reading the same book and being taught the same
information by a lecturer who probably never worked in the industry. That is
the average scenario in the university that happened nowadays. By way
illustration, a classroom full of student who are guided to regurgitate
information back to the professor. The great company out there will hire
workers based on the result and the quality of their works that also called as
practical and not only assessed by the theory that they have learned in the
university. Hence, this situation shows that the theory that have been thought
in the university is not assure to works in the industry if the students are not
applying the practical of it.

In a nutshell, in life, we create the opportunities to sharpen our skills and


improve our talents, learn and explore different disciplines. Plus, cultivate
experiences from it. It is up to ourselves to choose which path will take us to
obtain it. It can be achieved through many other ways and not consequentially
by a university degree’s certificates. Not to mention, it is also can be attained
as there are many other substitutions to career path, there are no fully vow to
be success just because of the university certificate and the proficient of the
job will not be teach in the university where students need to explore it by
their own. It is a hope that, all parties, especially students, will be more aware
of the importance of the talent and skills that they have rather than focusing
on ending up their degree without polishing their superiority. Owning to the
fact that, the value of success is inestimable.
