1. Prayer
Before we start to our lesson for today Students will join the prayer.
let us have a prayer first. Let’s put

VI. Lesson Proper
a. Presentation
I will show to my students a picture and they are going to share their thoughts, ideas
what's in the picture talk about. “Before we start let me give you some idea about the
topic that we are having today. So, what can you see in the picture? Are you familiar
with those pictures?”.What comes into your mind when you saw the picture in front?
The students will share their thoughts and idea.
b. Discussion
I’m going to the next slide of the power point which contains the Question “What is
Human Rights”? so I will call a student using the Wheel of Rights to have a little
exciting so the students that will be pick he/she will give his/her idea what is human
rights in his/her own opinion. After the student answers I will read what is human
rights. After that I will show the next slide start the lesson about Universal Declaration
of Human Rights. I will call a student to read what is the Universal Declaration of
Human Rights. It is defined as a common standard of achievement for all peoples
and all nations, to the end that every individual and every organ of society, keeping
this Declaration constantly in mind, shall strive by teaching and education to promote
respect for these rights and freedoms and by progressive measures, national and
international, to secure their universal and effective recognition and observance, both
among the peoples of Member States themselves and among the peoples of
territories under their jurisdiction. After that I will read the preamble and what is the
purpose of it. Next is I’m going to the 30 Articles Under the Universal Declaration of
Human Rights. After we tackle the 30 Articles Under the Universal Declaration of
Human Rights. We would move to the Issues of human rights in the Philippines in
this part I will show the pictures which they are going to share their thoughts what the
pictures is talk about. The first picture is the former President Rodrigo Duterte
possible answer “A Leader, Former President of the Philippines, 16 th President of the
Philippines, the first President of the Philippines from Mindanao, the one who
Launched the War on Drugs “OPLAN TOKHANG”. Next is The Philippine Drug-War
Campaign What is The Philippine Drug-War Campaign? Possible answer The Drug
war campaign is also known as “War on Drugs” in the Philippine it is a controversial
and highly polarizing anti-drug campaign. Who promote Philippine drug-war
campaign? Possible answer It was initiated by the former President Rodrigo Duterte.
What is the primary objective of the Philippine drug-war campaign? Possible answer
the primary objective of the campaign is to combat the illegal drug trade and
eliminate drug related crimes in the country. Aside from that Many Human rights
groups and Activista are blaming Duterte and his administration for extrajudicial
killings because of the program called war on drugs. Do you agree to do or
implement the death penalty here in the Philippines? Why or why not? All answer is
correct. What is your idea or opinion about Lowering the age of criminal liability? All
answer is correct. In this picture What can you say about in this picture the Freedom
of expression. All answer is correct. Do you have any idea what are the Rights of
member of LGBTQIA+? Possible answer, Right to Equality, Right to Privacy,
Freedom from violence, Freedom of Expression, Access to Healthcare, Legal
recognition, Freedom of association, Education, Asylum and refugee rights. What is
SOGIE BILL what can you say about it? Possible answer The Sexual Orientation and
Gender Identity Expression (SOGIE) Equality Bill, it aims to protect the rights of
LGBTQIA+ individuals by prohibility discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation,
gender identity, gender expression.

Students will be writing an essay that compose of 1-2 paragraph about “The importance of
human rights in our daily living”

I am going to ask question to know if the students understand the lesson we had. “Let’s
have a short review to know if everyone understood the lesson.”
1. What is human rights and how does it affect our daily living?
2. What can you say on the human rights situation in the Philippines? Expand your
answer.
3. How will you promote human rights awareness?

IX. Evaluation
I prepare some questions for students to answer. “Seem like all of you are ready for the
quiz, everyone, get ¼ sheet of paper we are going to have a quiz.”
Answer the following Questions:
1. What are Human rights?
Answer: Human rights are fundamental rights and freedom that every person is entitled
to, regardless of their background.
2. What is the Declaration of Human Rights?
Answers: The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) is a landmark document
adopted by the United Nations in1948. Its set outs the basic principle of Human that
should be universally respected.
3. How many Articles that Universal Declaration of Human Rights have?
Answer: It compose of Thirty Articles
4. Give at least five Articles of Universal Declaration of Human Rights?
Answer: Art 1: We are all born free and equal, Art 2: Freedom from Discrimination, Art 3:
Right to Life, Art 4: Freedom from Slavery, Art 5: Freedom from Torture, and so on.
5. What are the five issues of human rights in the Philippines the we discuss?
Answer: Philippine Drug war campaign, Death penalty, Lowering the age of criminal
liability, Freedom of Expression, Rights of the members of the LGBTQIA+.

X. Assignment;
Directions: Interview someone who had experienced Martial Law. Let them compare the
human rights situation then and now. Report the report of your interview.
