Agenda: To orient parents and learners about the schoolyear’s proceedings, as well as answer
questions and address concerns.
CONTENT:
The program started with a nationalistic song and a prayer, led by AVP and Pastor Roldan
Ortega respectively. After the welcome remarks by Ms. Peachy Ann M. Malacaman, the
discussion starts, touching upon the following topics:
1. HEALTH MATTERS discussed by Nurse Ana Mangussad
- Flagship programs of Oplan Kalusugan (OK) in DepEd
a. Medical, Dental and Nursing Services
i. Providing Care and First Aid
ii. Health Examination and Treatment
iii. Vision Screening
iv. School-based Immunization Program
v. Deworming
vi. Oral Examination
b. Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in Schools (WASH in Schools – WINS)
c. Adolescent Reproductive Health (ARH)
i. WIFA
ii. HIV/AIDS Awareness
iii. ADEPT Training of Teachers
d. National Drug and Education Program (NDEP)
e. School – based Feeding Program (SBFP)
f. Mental Health Awareness
- Discussed the process for probable/confirmed case of a learner, teacher, or non-
teaching personnel.
2. NEW INFORMATION ON MONKEYPOX discussed by Mark Joseph Castellano
(Pediatric Infectious Disease Specialist)
- A short discussion about Monkeypox; its origins, affected countries, and its low
mortality rate.
3. WINS {Wash-In-School} discussed by Julie Ann Santos
- Discussed the importance of WINS in maintaining and promoting sanitation and
proper hygiene in schools.
- Discussed WINS priority needs such as soap, water buckets, tissue, trash bins,
sanitary pads, etc.
4. DISASTER RISK REDUCTION MANAGEMENT discussed by John Fitz Gerald San
Pedro

- Introduction of SDRRMC coordinators, Mr. John Fitz Gerald San Pedro and Mr.
Adrian R. Suarnaba.
- Discussed the aim of SDRRMC which is to prevent new and reducing existing
disaster risk and managing residual risk.
- The following are considered as disasters:
a. Fire
b. Typhoon
c. Earthquake
d. Volcanic Eruption
- Student Emergency Contact
a. DRR coordinators are asking for three (3) emergency contact person for
every student. The given contact persons would be the only people allowed to
pick-up their student from school in the instance of an evacuation from an
emergency.
- Discussed the proper protocols for the following disasters:
a. Ashfall Preparedness
b. Earthquake
i. Before – Quarterly Earthquake Drill, Disaster Preparedness
Orientation, Bert (Batang Emergency Resource Team),
ii. During - DCH (Duck, Cover and Hold), 1 meter distance from each
evacuee and building while evacuating to the nearest open area and
practice physical distancing.
iii. The evacuation area for Senior High School students is the open
space in-between the two Senior High School buildings.
- Family Reunification
a. The students will only be allowed to perform Family Reunification when the
earthquake warrants a red alert.
b. In this instance, only the three (3) contact persons are allowed to pick up the
student from school.

5. GUIDANCE COUNSELING MATTERS discussed by Maricel G. Lumio, RGC
- Discussed the vision and mission of the school’s Guidance Services:
a. To address the academic, personal, social, and career goals leading to lifelong
learners, responsible and productive citizens of society.
b. To build collaborative relationships with various stakeholders to help ensure
the holistic development of all learners.

6. DEPED ORDER NO. 21, s 2022 discussed by Mr. Veterbo Torrechilla
- The schoolyear will start on Augusr 22, 2022 and will end on July 7, 2023, with a
total number of 203 school days.
- The Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs) will continue to apply for S.Y.
2022 – 2023.

Assesment
- Ten (10) weeks of every academic quarter will be dedicated to actual classroom
teaching. The eleventh (11th) week of each quarter may be used to conduct co-
curricular activities.
- Career Guidance Activities shall be conducted between August and December.
- Parent-teaching conferences and report cards distribution shall be held not earlier than
the second Saturday of the following quarter.
- FIVE-DAY Midyear break will be spent on Midyear Performance Review and
Evaluation and the School-Based INSET.
- Deliberation of awards and recognition may be conducted two weeks before
completion/graduation.
- The Christmas Break will start on December 19, 2022 and classes will resume on
January 4, 2023.
- Remedial Classes will start on July 17, 2023 and will end on August 26, 2023.

7. FACE-TO-FACE REMINDERS discussed by Ms. Lindsay T. Maranan
- For SHS students, classes start at 8:00 AM and will end at either 3:00 PM 0r 5:00 Pm
depending on their schedule.
- Sports Complex Gate will be used for entrance and exit.
- Students may wear school uniforms and civilian attires that are compliant to the
school’s dress code.
- Students should bring their own utensils, tumblers, alcohol, tissue and face masks to
avoid cross-contamination. Cashless transaction will be implemented.
- The Dry Run on August 18. 2022 will be conducted from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM for
Senior High School Students.
8. DEPED ORDER NO. 21, s 2022 discussed by Mr. Paolo D. Bundoc
- Students who have perfect attendance will no longer be recognized.
- Academic excellence awards will now be given to learners from grade levels 1 – 12.
- Awards that are not academic such as leadership, subject proficiency, club, or
organizational achievement, special recognition are suspended.
- The difference specific excellence awards given to learners are:
a. With Honors (Learners with an average of 89.5 – 94.4)
b. With High Honors (Learners with an average of 94.5 – 97.4)
c. With Highest Honors (Learners with an average of 97.5 – 100)
9. ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Classes will open on August 22, 2022, Flag ceremony starts at 6:30 AM for all grade
levels.
- On August 26, 2022, the Face-to-Face Brigada Closing Program will start at 8:00AM
– 10:00 AM
- The month of August is Buwan of Wika. There will be many activities organized by
KAMAFIL.
The program ends with the closing remarks by Master Teacher, Webena F. Gerona, and the
MunSci Hymn, led by the MunSci voices.
