10. Read the following article and then answer the questions.

Work is underway at the National Park of Inwadar in the limits of Marsascala


to remove non-indigenous plants. This is part of a project intended to
rehabilitate this park. The chairman of the board responsible for the
management of this park, Mr Borg, said that the first step is to stop illegal
dumping in the park. An application for EU funds has also been submitted
to restore the rubble walls in the park. At the moment alien plants are
being removed from the park. Dr Buhagiar, a botanical expert, said that
alien plants “are spreading very fast, are difficult to control and are taking
up space that should be taken up by indigenous plants.” As a result the
number of endangered species in our country is on the rise. Dr Buhagiar
said that indigenous plants will be planted instead of alien plants, including
some that are in the risk of becoming extinct.
