I. Title : ANTI-ILLEGAL DRUGS ADVOCACY

CAMPAIGN
II. Date and Venue : June 10,2019
III. Participants : Barangay Officials/ SK Officials
IV. Rationale :

The war against drugs program of the National Government as

localized in the Municipal Local Governments. The Municipality of
Maguing will join the advocacy on Anti-Illegal drugs campaign. As a sign of
its commitment the Local Government Unit of Maguing together with the
Municipal Police Station of Maguing will conduct activity in line with the
vision of eradicating the proliferation of Drug related activities within the
area of jurisdiction of the Municipality. Hence, Information, Education
and Communication campaign will be conducted by the LGU-Maguing and
Maguing-MPS. Orientation will be conducted initially targeting all the
thirty four (34) Punong Barangays of Maguing, afterwards the
Sangguniang Kabataan Officials. Lastly the IEC will be conducted on
Schools particularly Siaw Community College located at Balagunun,
Maguing, Lanao del Sur.

V. Objective :

1. To educate and provide information to the Punong

Barangays and SK Officials with regards to different Drug
related activities;
2. To educate and orient the Punong Barangays and SK
Officials to the Salient features of Republic Act No. 9165
also known as Dangerous Drugs act of 2002;
3. To educate the youth on the effects of Drugs, particularly
on Health and Environment.
VI. Methodology :

 Training/Orientation through series of lectures and face

to face learning with Resource speakers;
 Provision of pamphlets, manuals and other reading
materials as ready reference for the target participants;
 Distribution of flyers in schools and other areas;
 Posting of Tarpaulins in different public areas of the LGU
Maguin
VII. Output:

1. The participants were able to learned and educate themselves about

different drug related activities.
2. The participants were able to learn the salient features of RA 9165
otherwise known as Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002.
3. The participants were eager and participative. They actively
participated on the workshops given.
4. They also expressed their views and opinions on the said issue.

III. Participants : Youth Sector and the Community
IV. Rationale :
The war against drugs program of the National Government as
localized in the Municipal Local Governments. The Municipality of
Maguing will join the advocacy on Anti-Illegal drugs campaign. As a sign of

effects of Drugs particularly on their health, in the community and
to their environment.
2. The participants were eager and participative. They actively
participated on the workshops given.
3. They also expressed their views and opinions on the said issue.

I. Title : Restorative, Recovery and Wellness

Program
II. Date and Venue : May 15,2019
III. Participants : Punong Barangay And PWUD
IV. Rationale :
In compliance with the Philippine National Police memorandum on
the conduct of Recovery and wellness program. The Local Government
Unit of Maguing manifested its support to the said program through
localization. The said activity aims to assist and help the identified persons
who used drugs to recover and desist in engaging themselves to the said
vices. The activity is expected to promote camaraderie, sportsmanship
among youths and the community as a whole.
V. Objective :

1. To conduct health promotion activities such as Sports

play off, i.e. Basketball, Volleyball and other physical
activity;
2. To assist the client to thoroughly avoid engaging and such
vices;
3. To educate the youth on the effects of Drugs, particularly
on Health and Environment.
VI. Methodology :

 Basketball Games

VII. Output :

The Friendship Basket Ball Tournament was held on the Second

week of May. It was participated by the youth sectors of different Barangays
in the Municipality. The said Activity aims to promote camaraderie and
sportsmanship. The LGU-Maguing sponsored the said event in relation to
the promotion of the fight against drugs of the National Government. The
event was encouraged to take place every year. The tournament was
conducted successfully.

IV. Rationale :

 HATAW/Zumba
 Couselling by the Ulama
VII. Output:

The Zumba fitness was conducted to promote Physical Fitness and

Healthy lifestyle among the identified Person who used drugs. One on one
counselling was also offered and conducted to PWUD. It is also among the
initiated activity of the LGU in support to National Government fight
against drugs.
