MY DAILY JOURNAL

Week 1
March 6, 2023

On day 1, since it is the first day of my OJT I feel so excited because I will
experience the work in this field. The day starts in flag ceremony and municipal
administrator welcome us as intern, after that were headed to conference room for small
orientation and announce where we are going to assign. In the accounting office I
started writing down disbursement voucher number base on the series of the
transactions, I make sure that every details is correct and I write it clearly. This work
take hours to finish because there is so many transaction on the month of November
2022 and I end up with the day writing DV number.

March 7, 2023

On day 2, I started the day with sweeping the wooden floor and it’s hard to clean
because it has holes in the corner and hard to reach, after cleaning I continue to finish
writing down the disbursement voucher number. Sometimes, ma’am Grecel ask me to
deliver the document to treasurer’s office and to other offices to sign up the papers.

March 8, 2023

On the day 3, after writing the DV number we are task to segregate the disbursement
vouchers into two copies and make attention that there is a paid stamp in the
documents. Some vouchers only have one original copy, I have to make sure that the
segregation of the voucher have exact copies so I have to photocopy every document so
that there is no missing supporting documents in the copies. I also segregate the
liquidation report into two copies.

March 9, 2023

On the day 4, I started the day in daily hygiene and continue to segregate the
disbursement vouchers and liquidation. After segregating I compile the liquidation
report and I used puncher and fastener to make it secure because it is really thick to put
into folder. I also ask to buy snack and helping a hand in the office.
March 10, 2023

On the day 5, I continue to finish the DV segregation and it takes working with it the
whole day photocopying and compiling the documents. The day end up in the flag
ceremony and finally have a weekend rest.

Week 2
March 13, 2023

On 6th day, I attend flag ceremony and started the week by segregating the
disbursement voucher into two copies, one for our office's record and the other tobe
sent to the concerned department. This process took me almost the entire day, but it was
a crucial step in ensuring our financial records were accurate.

March 14-15, 2023

Over the next two days, I continued with the same process of segregating
disbursement vouchers. Thisbe submitted to the accounting department for processing.
It was a tedious task but very important to keep our financial records accurate and
organized. I spent most of my time ensuring that I did it correctly, so I wouldn't have to
redo it later.

Days 7th and 8th day were pretty much the same as the first day since I had to
segregate a lot of disbursement vouchers. However, I managed to finish and submit all
of them on time.

March 16, 2023

On day 9th day, my task was to split the cash disbursement journal into three copies. It
was a bit more complicated than the previous days' tasks, but I was able to finish it with
no problem. The three copies would be sent to different departments for their records,
which was why it was crucial to make sure all three were identical.

March 17, 2023

Finally, on day 10th day, I had to compile the cash disbursement journal puncher and
fasten it. This was essential to make sure that all the pages were correctly aligned and
wouldn't fall apart easily. Again, it was a meticulous task, but I managed to complete it
before the end of the day.
Week 3
March 20, 2023

On the 11th day, I was given the task to rebind the financial statement book of
the year 2022. The book had an error page that needed to be fixed. I carefully removed
the pages and then bound them again with the proper alignment. I ensured that the book
was in good condition and all the pages were in the correct order. Once the task, which
had errors on some of the pages. I sorted through the pages and carefully re-bound the
book to ensure that the pages were aligned. It was an important task as the financial
statements are critical documents for any organization, and errors in them can lead to
serious consequences. I completed the task with care and precision, ensuring that the
book was perfect before submitting it.

March 21, 2023

On the 12th day, I was quite busy, as I had to send, deliver and receive various
important documents. I had to ensure that the documents were delivered to the right
recipients on time. I also helped with other small tasks as requested of me. It was a
tiring day, but I was happy to get everything done efficiently.

March 22, 2023

On the 13th day, I had to deliver and sign some documents to the HRMO and
Department of Agriculture office. It was an important task, and I made sure to get to the
offices on time. I also had to ensure that the documents were signed correctly and
collected all the necessary documents.

March 23, 2023

The 14th day, I was all about fixing the accounting office laptop. I had to update
Microsoft Office to the latest version, as some of the programs were outdated. I also
had to activate the Windows 10 OS on the old laptop. The task was done with ease, and
I ensured that the laptop was functioning correctly before leaving the accounting office.

March 24, 2023

The 15th day, I involved qualifying the charges of a voucher at MDRRMO, among
other small tasks assigned to me. It was quite an easy day compared to the others, but it
was still essential to accomplish everything on time. The voucher needed to be checked
and verified correctly to ensure that it was accurate.

Week 4
March 27, 2023

On the 16th day, my job was to check the disbursement vouchers and ensure that they
had signatures. Besides that, I also prepared for snacks, cleaned up, and washed the
dishes.

March 28, 2023

On the 17th day, I was spent attending a meeting related to the preparation of a
medical mission. At the afternoon, I helped in arranging the chairs for the event which
was to be held at the sports center.

March 29, 2023

On the 18th day, marked the medical mission itself, where my primary job was to
assist the patients, guide them on where to go and also distributed water and drinks to
the volunteers. Furthermore, I also helped in moving the chairs and tables back to the
truck post-event.

March 30, 2023

On the 19th day, on the other hand, required me to start segregating the disbursement
vouchers into two copies, check time book payroll, and finally return the vouchers to
MDRRMO.

March 31, 2023

On the 20th day, I had to excuse myself for a school meeting. Overall, it was an
engaging week, and I felt satisfied with all the work I had done.
Week 5
April 3, 2023

On the 21st day, I was tasked with deep cleaning the glass window, and it took most of
my time. Additionally, I also double-checked the disbursement voucher advice to make
sure that there are no errors that could lead to future problems.

April 4, 2023

On the 22nd day, was mostly dedicated to encoding the Barangay disbursement
voucher transactions. Additionally, I also worked on other small tasks that needed some
attention.

April 5, 2023

On the 23rd day they required me to arrange the disbursement voucher documents, and
once done, I delivered them to various offices that required them.

April 6-7, 2023

On the 24th day was the Holy Thursday, and it was a holiday in the Philippines, so
there was no work. Similarly, on day 25 which was the Good Friday, there was no work
as well.

Overall, despite being relatively short, this week allowed me to accomplish many
important tasks that were crucial for the smooth running of various offices. It was also a
time to reflect and relax as the Holy Week is an important occasion in the Philippines,
and people often take the chance to spend time with their families and loved ones.

Week 6
April 10, 2023

On the day 26 the week started with a holiday, giving us the opportunity to rest and
recharge for the week ahead.

April 11, 2023


On the 27 day, I was tasked with encoding the check issued by the Barangay
Kauswagan. Along with this task, I also assisted inside the office with other duties that
needed attention.

April 12, 2023

On the 28th day was similar to the second day, where I worked on encoding the check
issued by Barangay Mapua. Once again, I also helped out with some of the smaller
tasks inside the office.

April 13, 2023

On the 29th day, I was tasked with segregating the disbursement voucher. Additionally,
I also worked on other small tasks that were given to me to ensure productivity inside
the office.

April 14, 2023

The 30th day they required me to assist inside the office again. This included working
on any tasks that required my assistance and support.

Week 7
April 17, 2023

On day 31st day, I was assigned to do some photo copying tasks which took up most of
the day. It was a quick and easy task that helped me familiarize myself with the office
equipment.

April 18-19, 2023

On day 32 and 33 I was busy encoding bank reconciliation data and assisting
inside the office. It was a bit challenging at first, but I was able to familiarize myself
with the process and complete the task with ease.

April 20, 2023

On the day 34 I was a bit busier with encoding check issued Barangay Kabangasan and
encoding Brgy. Journal. It was a bit more challenging than previous tasks, but it was a
good learning experience nonetheless. I was able to apply the skills I had learned over
the past few days and complete these tasks with success.

April 21, 2023

Unfortunately, on day 35th, we had a holiday, so I was unable to complete any tasks.
Overall, it was a productive week, and I feel like I learned a lot, not just about the tasks
themselves, but also about the office environment and how to work with a team.

Week 8
April 24, 2023

On the 36th day, we started off by going to the Mayor's Office to have important
documents signed. This was followed by us delivering a CFS to COA and going to the
SB Office for signatures. It was a busy day, but we managed to get everything done.

April 25-26, 2023

On day 37 and 38 were all about delivering and signing documents. These were
smaller tasks that needed our attention, but they were essential to complete. We had a
few other smaller jobs to take care of on both days, but we underestimated how long the
document delivery process would take. Nonetheless, we managed to finish everything
on time and turned our attention to day 4.

April 27, 2023

On the 39th day they saw us back in action, delivering and signing more documents.
However, we also assisted inside the office, which was an excellent opportunity to meet
new people and gain some office experience. It was a valuable learning opportunity,
and we felt proud of the work we did.

April 28, 2023

Finally, on day 40, we had to write a disbursement voucher number and encode and
print a check advice from LBP. This took up most of our morning, but we managed to
finish everything successfully. We also had to sign and claim a check from the
treasurer's office to be submitted to the BIR, which was the final task of the week.
