REFLECTION
How will a different set of people feel that he/she belongs in class despite of his/her
differences?
The question above went on my mind while listening on the LAC session about
specialized activities for IP students. The speaker first elaborated the meaning of IP or
Indigenous People. I learned many things on how to be fair In class regardless of their
culture, religion or beliefs. Aside from being IP of a students we teachers sometimes could
see their difference from one another such as their economic status and their appearances.
Admit it or not sometimes we have different ways and perspective on how they will be
treated but maybe we are just adjusting on how to approach them or give them instructions
according to their level and needs. I realized that understanding IP student’s world is one
In our world full or different people’s culture, beliefs, and religions there is a
teacher that has an open-minded soul who can make learning fair and conducive to learning.
A conclusion to fair learning is to have a teacher who understands and have a broad
LAC TITLE: Men and Women Empowerment for Teachers and Learners
REFLECTION
“Power” is big word for a person like me. When I think about power, I think about
things that I can do. Things that I can make myself proud. Empower, this word reminds me
how can I use my skills and knowledge in other to prove that “If others can, why can’t I”.
In today’s time men and women are impowered when it comes to equal
opportunity. Opportunity to learn, to go to school, to feel that they belong and have an equal
opportunity on what they do. As the LAC session speaker for this session elaborated about
the topic, I created some scenarios using my imagination on how to impower both genders.
It made me realized how relevant the situation given by the speakers to my daily work.
Honestly, sometimes I forgot to apply some of the gender sensitive activities in class as
traditionally we were more sensitive to women because we think that they are weaker as it is
what the society dictates. But upon the speaker elaborated more about it, as I was listening
there were affirmations on my mind about the examples she was giving.
In classroom as a teacher, we can be a role model to our students so that they will
REFLECTION
Teaching is a lifelong learning process. That is why in teaching we need to learn new
things and embrace change and innovations. As students as technology advance nowadays,
therefore we cannot be left behind with the computer skills that they know.
As indicated in the RPMS for teachers for the school year 2022-2023 Objective
number 9 PPST 4.5.2, Selected developed Organized and use appropriate teaching and
learning resources including ICT to address learning goals; the topic about “ ICT Integration
in Classroom with the use of CANVA” is essential not only for the learners but in
compliance with PPST.
In today, CANVA is popular when it comes to presentation and editing videos and
pictures. Because it’s a flatform that is very helpful to teachers and learners we teachers
should learn how to use it.
On our third speaker for the LAC session for the Junior High School English
department, the speaker about CANVA, ma’am Aziel D. Tolentino discussed the
presentation on how to use it and its other features.
There are lot of helpful tools that teachers can use in his/her discussion in classroom
just like the use of CANVA, Kahoot and many more. Thank God, that nowadays aside from
manila paper and cartolina we can also explore other applications which enhance learners’
interest in class.
ICT integration make it easier for teachers and learners to present their works and
understand the lesson better.
