    A DETAILED LESSON PLAN

    I. Objectives
    At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to :
    A. Define what is Luksong baka/ Jump over the cow;
    B. Express their thought of playing the game luksong baka;
    C. Demonstrate the luksong baka/Jump over the cow.

    1. Prayer
    Before we start, let us Pray first. Everyone
    stand up. Renenjay please lead the prayer. Loving heavenly Father, we come to you this
    hour asking for your blessing and help as we
    are gathered together. We pray for guidance
    in the matters at hand and ask that you would
    clearly show us how to conduct our work
    with a spirit of joy and enthusiasm. Give us
    the desire to find ways to excel in our work.

    2. Checking the Attendance


    Now, let us check the attendance. Ms.
    Secretary do we have absence today? Ma’am I’m glad to report that everybody is
    present.

    3. Greeting the class


    Good morning class!!! Good morning ma’am!!
    B. Motivation
    Class, before we go pn our topic today.
    I have prepared a game. This game has a
    connection regarding our lesson for today.
    This game is called Charades or Pantomimes.

    May I request everyone to stand up.

    I will group you into two. I will choose a


    leader and the leader will choose their Yes ma’am!
    members, did you understand class?

    So the leader of group 1 is Jireh and Group 2


    is Marny. You two stand up and choose your Yes ma’am!
    members.

    Before I say the mechanics, leaders do the


    jack’en poy to determine who will be the first (Leaders play jack’en poy)
    to play.
    Marny’s group is the one who plays first.
    The mechanics of this game, one of your
    members "act out" a word that I give it to
    her/him without speaking, while the other
    members of your team try to guess what the
    word is. I will give you 1 minute to guess the

    word. The group that can guess the word
    fastest will win. So let’s start the game,

    Ok class, let us start our lesson for today.
    What do you think of our topic today?

    games based on what we played.
    Very good! Yes, it is connected to the
    traditional games. Our topic is one of the
    traditional games.

    Ma’am it’s luksong baka.

    Yes, exactly. I will be discussing the luksong


    baka and some called it jump over the cow.

    So before we start, I will give you first the


    background of Luksong baka.

    Luksong baka (English : Jump over the cow)


    is a traditional filipino game that originated
    in Bulacan. It consists of a minimum of 3
    players and maximum of 10 players. It
    involves the player jumping over the person
    called the “baka” and the main goal of the
    players is to successfully jump over the
    “baka” without touching or falling over
    him/her.

    Okay, it’s nice to hear that. I think it will be


    easy for you to understand the rules of the
    game. RULES
     At the start of the game, one player is

     The players should avoid touching or
    falling over the baka player while
    jumping over.
     The baka player should start with a
    kneeling-down position (a baka player
    bends over with their hands placed on
    his knees).
     All players are to jump over the baka
    until all the players have jumped.[4]
    Once the first set of jumping over the
    baka is done, the baka player will slowly
    rise up after jumping over the baka
    player.
     Only the hands of the jumper may touch
    the back of the person who is bent over.
    If a player fails to avoid contact or fall
    over the baka, they will replace the baka
    player with a kneeling position (step 3),
    and the game continues until the all
    players decide to end the game.
