A Heartfelt and Warm Greetings to all!
We gradually bid adieu to the cold winters as we reach the conclusion of the Academic
Session 2022-23 and would soon welcome the spring with the advent of the Session
2023-24.
The last session had its fair share of joyful learning, challenges, adulations and
celebrations. Our goal is not just imparting knowledge but delineating our path towards acquiring right
intellection, values and convictions through reflections and discussions.

This is the time of the year for learners to gear up with full throttle and prepare for Year End Examinations.
Assessments form an integral part of instruction, as they determine the status of the educational goals.
Assessments affect decisions about grades, placement, advancement and instructional needs and
promote better understanding of ourselves and of our learning abilities.

Wishing all the learners of Grades X and XII good luck and success in upcoming Board Examinations &
Grades IX & XI for their Annual Examinations. Keep rising, keep shining!!

ACHIEVEMENTS AND ACCOLADES…

❖ CBSE NATIONAL SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP 2023: Arjun Singh of Grade IX Everest won a Silver
Medal and two Bronze Medals in the CBSE National Swimming Championship 2023 held at Genuis
English Medium school 'Rajkot from 19th January to 24th January '2023. 1200 Learners from over 200
schools across India participated in the event.

❖ 18th ICE FIGURE AND SPEED NATIONAL SKATING CHAMPIONSHIP: Tvesha Yadav of Grade IX
Kanchenjunga won a Gold Medal in U15, 500 meters and Sara Narua of Prep Hibiscus, U11, Figure
skating achieved a Gold Medal in Pair Figure Skating held at ISKATE by Roseate, Ambience Mall,
Gurugram.

❖ AWARD BY GURUGRAM ADMINISTRATION, GOVERNMENT OF HARYANA: Kaina Malik of Grade XI

Shakespeare was felicitated at the Civil Secretariat by ADC Sh. V.K. Meena on the occasion of ‘Balika
Diwas’ by Gurugram Administration, Government of Haryana.

❖ VIETNAM EMBASSY ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION: Dhruv Kumar of Grade XI Dalton bagged 2nd
position and a cash prize of Rs 5000, while Shyla of Grade VIII Danube won a cash prize of Rs 1000 in
an essay competition organized by Vietnam Embassy.
NEWS….
❖ COMMENCEMENT OF PREBOARD II: Pre-Board II for Grades X and XII commenced w.e.f Friday, 13th
January and concluded on Wednesday, 25th Jan 2023. Result will be published online on 3rd Feb 2023.

❖ PARIKSHA PE CHARCHA: Learners watched the live streaming of “Pariksha Pe Charcha” on 28th Jan
where Prime Minister, Mr. Modi shared important guidelines and strategies to prepare for
examinations and wished children the best for the forth coming examinations.

ANNOuNCEMENTS…
❖ CBSE NATIONAL SCIENCE EXHIBITION: It’s a proud privilege for Lotus Valley International School
for being nominated to host CBSE National Science Exhibition 2022-23 w.e.f. 7th to 9th February
2023. The exhibition will be based on the theme: Technology & Toys with 7 sub-themes under the
Group categories- Grades VI-VIII & IX -XI. Around 458 schools pan India are expected to participate
and shall exhibit their projects selected at Regional Science Exhibition 2022-23.

❖ SECOND LEVEL OF NSO: First round of NSO exams were successfully conducted and learners who
have qualified for the second-level exams of NSO will be appearing for exam on 12th February 2023.

❖ BOARD EXAMINATIONS: We hope learners are well prepared to write their CBSE Board
examinations that commence w.e.f 24th Feb 2023 for Grade XII and 15th Feb 2023 for Grade X.

❖ ANNUAL EXAMINATION GRADES IX-XI: Annual Examinations for Grades IX and XI commence w.e.f
3rd February 2023 to 15th February 2023. Result of Annual Examination will be published on School
Portal on 23rd February 2023 for Grade IX and 24th February 2023 for Grade XI.

❖ BOOKS & UNIFORM SALE: Books for the next session may be procured for Grades IX, X & XII as the
mentioned-

GRADE IX Book set will be given in the respective classrooms on the day of the Grade IX
Entrée on Saturday, 1st April. Further details will be shared in due course.
GRADE X 25th and 26th February 2023 from the Book Store
GRADE XII 27th and 28th February 2023 from the Book Store

Uniform will be available in March between 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on all working days. More details will
follow.

❖ REJUVENATING BREAK FOR GRADES X and XII (2023-24): Grades X and XII will have a rejuvenating
break w.e.f. 30th March 2023 to 2nd April 2023.
❖ EDUCATIONAL EXCURSIONS: The school will restart the joyful experience of travel and learning.
2N/3D trips to Amritsar are being organized for Grades X & XII (2023-24).

consciousness in young minds.

Friday 21st March International Day for Racism revealed: Group Activity (4 students) - Use
the Elimination of poster artwork to promote discussion on racism. Each
Racial Discrimination group to create 2 posters, one reflecting the reasons
and the other incorporating the solutions to curb
the same.
