PRAYER of a STUDENT TEACHER
I believe true teachers are passionate. They do not just teach students or provide
knowledge to them; they also teach values for the students to be holistically developed.
Teaching is not an easy job; it requires great effort and courage for this kind of profession
because you will give knowledge to many students. It is the noblest profession because all the
professions came from teaching. Teachers mold the minds of the students to be successful in
life. As of today, many students became successful because of their teachers. I believe that
teaching is an art and a reflective practice in which the teacher is always in the process of
discovery, with the students and colleagues, of good and bad ways of teaching.
I believe good teachers are enthusiastic and capable of conveying their enthusiasm to
students, constantly look for ways of improving their teaching and trying to keep abreast of
developments in their subjects and are sufficiently mindful and self-aware to be able to be
good at themselves. I believe being a teacher with a humor while teaching makes the students
interested in the discussion. But teachers, in order to balance this, we should only minimize
giving humor and master the lesson that we will give to the students.
I believe also that teachers should be responsible, creative and industrious. We are not
just teaching; we must be responsible in managing the class including the classroom setting. It
is important that we have a good learning environment so that the students will be able to be
comfortable in learning in the class. Having a conducive learning environment makes the
classroom a healthy and interesting to learn. Teachers and students must cooperate with each
other in order to have this kind of classroom.

SAMPLES OF MY
LESSON PLANS
Lesson planning is important because it helps teachers to make sure
that the everyday activities that go on in their classrooms are providing
learners with a good level of lasting progress toward what they want to
achieve outlined in their sequence, as well as their individual education
plans. Without lesson planning, it is easy to get off track with one’s class and
miss out on educational targets. An effective lesson plan includes several
elements: learning objectives, quality questions, supplies and activities. It is
important to have the learning objectives in mind because those should drive
the development of all activities in the classroom. Quality questions are
inquiries that the teacher plans to direct at the students over the subject.
It helps the teacher to be more organized and it gives a sense of direction in
relation to the syllabus. It also helps the teacher to be more confident when
delivering the lesson. It provides a useful basis for future planning; it helps
the teacher to plan lessons which cater for different students. It is again proof
that the teacher has taken a considerable amount of effort in his/her
teaching. Lesson planning is at the heart of being an effective teacher.
