The class will set into 3 groups. Each group will be given a puzzle (pictures of couple dancing) The
one who can assemble and reveal the picture wins the game. Let them identify what’s in the picture.

2. What benefits can you gain in social dancing?

Present to the class the different dances

 Cha cha cha- is a dance to authentic Cuban music, although in ballroom competitions is
often danced to in rock.
- Most popular social dance for all ages.
- Originate in Cuba

Activity: Sumayaw,Sumunod sa Cha cha cha

In his activity, students will be given opportunities to dance and master the basic step of
Cha-cha cha, After mastering the basics, students can already come up with their own combinations.

Basic steps of Cha cha cha

1. Chasse
2. Alemana Turn
3. New York (Left over Right)
4. Spot Turn

D. Assessment/Application
Let’s Do It !
1. With the same groupings (3 groups), students will create a routine or combination of the
basic steps of cha-cha-cha.
2. Music prepared will be played.
3. Do this for (10mins)
4. After 10 minutes, presentation will follow by group.
5. The rest of the groups shall sit and observe until all groups have already performed.

Performance will be announced/evaluated using the following Rubrics.
