Curriculum Modifications for Gifted & Talented Learners
1. Differentiation

could achieve their greatest potentials, not creating a separate level for each
student.
Common Forms of Differentiation:
o Differentiation of Content
o Differentiation of Interest
o Differentiation of Pace
o Differentiation of Access
o Differentiation of Outcome
o Differentiation of Curricular Sequence
o Differentiation of Teacher Time
o Differentiation of Teacher teaching Style
o Differentiation of Complexity Level
2. Tiered Instruction
- Involves the process of creating the best possible lesson and making it fit
based on the learners’ level of readiness
- Learners have the option to work within their tiers, independently or with a
partner and present their works reflecting the best practices in the content
area.
All learners are meeting a common outcome, but different paths.
