Assignment A

How this Assignment will be Assessed


Requirements:
To achieve the minimum required to pass this assignment you need to:
 Include all the components listed on the platform and in the checklist.
 Produce materials that would achieve their stated aims and fit into the specified time.
 Use the reading texts we have provided.
 Pass all the assessment criteria listed below.

Resubmissions:
 Assignments which have not passed all assessment criteria will not be graded and will need to be
resubmitted.
 If you need to resubmit, you can make a maximum of three attempts in total on each
assignment.
 If you need to resubmit, the marker will explain what you need to do to pass the assignment.
 Second attempts cannot score higher than Merit, and third attempts cannot score higher than
Pass in view of the additional support provided.
 When marking resubmissions, markers will take into account how much additional support an
individual has received.
 Assignments which have already passed cannot be resubmitted to try and get a higher grade.

Grades:

 These activities would achieve their aims and fit into the specified time.
Pass
 The assignment demonstrates an adequate understanding of the relevant
aspects of the course.

 These activities would achieve their aims and fit into the specified time.
Merit
 The assignment includes interesting activities and demonstrates a good
understanding of the relevant aspects of the course.

 These activities would achieve their aims and fit into the specified time.
Distinction
 It includes very effective and engaging activities and demonstrates a thorough
understanding of the relevant aspects of the course.

Assessment Guidelines:
 If the assignment is of pass standard, each aspect of the assignment will be graded Pass, Merit or
Distinction. The tutor will then give an overall band for the whole assignment and some written
feedback.
 The main consideration in awarding grades is how successful the activities you have created for
the classes described would be within the requirements of the assignment brief.
 The Bibliography is marked only pass or fail and does not have a bearing on the overall mark.
