1.
MAHATMA GANDHI was a transformational leader meaning that he was a leader
who leads by example and empowers his followers to make them feel better. A
leader can do many things in order to be a transformational leader.

After reading the facts about Mahatma Gandhi, I really now understood why he is the
most famous leader in the world. Upon reading the different articles about him, I
discovered that he empowered every Indian to have a non-violent civil disobedience
which means that they act without any weapon inside of their pocket. I also choose
him because of his attitudes that a leader must acquire. He always searches for
integrity and honesty, he avoids violence because he doesn’t want to harm anyone
and lastly, he kept himself away from the materialistic desires and walked a path of
high moral. His leadership is remarkable even though he died in a very traumatic
incident. And I believed, people in India will never forget his name because he was
once a voice for the voiceless, a spokesperson of truth and freedom and a light for
those who are locked up in the dark.
2. NELSON MANDELA He was the country's first black head of state and the first
elected in a fully representative democratic election. His government focused on
dismantling the legacy of apartheid by tackling institutionalised racism and fostering
racial reconciliation.

I just found out that his leadership is a key for peace. Yes, I literally have jaw-
dropped when I get more information about him. I know him since then but I have
only learned a little about his leadership style. I included him on my output because I
know he deserves it. He showed to the world how forgiveness can change one’s
perspective in life which is now relevant for today’s generation, racism acts as a killer
weapon to anyone and this must be stopped. Furthermore, Mandela held no
bitterness which a good leader must have, he did not also seek revenge, he did not
seek self-glory, he didn’t hide his faults or failings.
3. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. is an American Christian minister and activist who
became the most visible spokesperson and leader in the civil rights movement from
1955 until his assassination in 1968. King is best known for advancing civil
rights through nonviolence and civil disobedience, inspired by his Christian beliefs
and the nonviolent activism of Mahatma Gandhi.

Racism, a simple world but it can have a big impact on everyone. I adore MLK Jr.
because of his wonderful platform for fighting racism. Moreover, he is widely
regarded as the leader of the movement for racial equality. He wants to have peace
and freedom in all nations throughout the world. Each of one of us must show
respect. The other countries beliefs, traditions and even culture must be treated with
equality. Ethnocentrism must kill to avoid violence and destructions. In line with this,
King can also be considered influential in his preaching of nonviolent protest during
the civil rights movement. The word Love is used by King as a weapon to fight
against human rights. A leader cannot be defined as a person who holds a sword
and guns to fight for his countrymen, in fact, a good leader offers his heart and soul
to everyone.
4. ABRAHAM LINCOLN He is the 16th President of the United States, is one of the
most remembered and honored presidents. Lincoln was a politician open to criticism
and debate. He empowered his leadership through dialogue with the American
society of the time and used the opinion of others to self-correct mistakes and
improve his public image. The US President accepted advice but also followed his
own instinct whenever he thought it wise.

Abraham Lincoln is one of the most influential presidents of the United States which
simply means he acts as a good leader. He influenced his people by giving them
insights on how they can achieve their goals and vision. He even motivates them to
act and response for slavery happened on their county. Lincoln focused on bringing
the country together. He includes his team members within the deciding process to
work out what to try and do. Additionally, Lincoln was also one in all the leaders who
advocates democracy strongly and led freedom to his people through his actions.
Therefore, Lincoln was indeed a democratic leader.
5. MOTHER TERESA If you look at all her humanitarian efforts, her motivations are
clear as day. She set up soup kitchens, a leper colony, orphanages, and a home for
the dying destitute. She treated the lepers, educated the poorest of the poor, and fed
the homeless.

I included Mother Teresa on my output because I just want to showcase or treasure
her. Even if she’s a woman, this is not a hindrance for her to be a leader. Mother
Teresa is a good example of empowering a woman. She has a genuine desire to
serve the poor, she even teaches us how to love other people whole heartedly.
Furthermore, Mother Teresa gives us inspiration on how to be a good person. Love
can be a source of joy and happiness. Praising, trusting and loving God are the
powerful weapons to change the world.
6. MARY WOLLSTONECRAFT was a moral and political philosopher whose analysis
of the condition of women in modern society retains much of its original radicalism.
One of the reasons her pronouncements on the subject remain challenging is that
her reflections on the status of the female sex were part of an attempt to come to a
comprehensive understanding of human relations within a civilization increasingly
governed by acquisitiveness and consumption.

Everyone can be a leader by their own like what Mary did. At first, she is just a simple
English woman who is fond of writing novels and stories. But her works discovered
and through that, the feminist movement started. Her works simply encourage
everyone to act and bind themselves together. She does not use any deadly
weapons but rather a single pen and a scratch of paper, like what our national hero
Dr. Jose Rizal did to our country. She believed strongly that women should be
educated as men. She took lovers and had a child out of wedlock when such things
were scandalous, and her reputation was tarnished for decades. However, it is
believed that her works strongly influenced writers like Jane Austin.
7. ELEANOR ROOSEVELT She advocated for expanded roles for women in the
workplace, the civil rights of African Americans and Asian Americans, and the rights
of World War II refugees. Following her husband's death in 1945, Roosevelt
remained active in politics for the remaining 17 years of her life.

I adore her dedication to her work. She just proved to everyone that no matter what
your age is, you can be a good leader. She started influencing others when she was
in teens. Imagine how a single lady contributed to the change of the world. Like her
husband, she’s also a civil rights advocate. She believes that rights of people must
be respected. She wrote a daily newspaper column that reached vast people, in
which she defended women’s rights and other humanitarian causes. She fought all
her struggles, whether personal or political, with honesty and straightforwardness.
For today’s generation, women rights can be seen elsewhere but unfortunately not
everyone did this. Women from different countries must be knowledgeable on how
they can defend their freedom and rights.
8. INDIRA GANDHI was an Indian politician and a central figure of the Indian National
Congress. She was the first and, to date, only female Prime Minister of India. Gandhi
was known for her political intransigency and unprecedented centralisation of power.
She went to war with Pakistan in support of the independence movement and war of
independence in East Pakistan, which resulted in an Indian victory and the creation
of Bangladesh, as well as increasing India's influence to the point where it became
the sole regional power of South Asia.
SOURCE: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indira_Gandhi
Like Eleanor and Mary, Indira also fought for women’s rights. I just mentioned
earlier the four female leaders in the world including her. Despite their gender,
they gain power to act and be a voice for people who experienced violence
(physically, spiritually, mentally and emotionally). Being a leader does not require
age, gender and experiences. If you have the heart of a leader you will be a good
one. Like what she said, satisfaction lies in effort, not in the attainment. Full effort
is full victory.
9. RUTH BADER GINSBERG Ginsburg spent much of her legal career as an advocate
for gender equality and women's rights, winning many arguments before the
Supreme Court. She advocated as a volunteer attorney for the American Civil
Liberties Union and was a member of its board of directors and one of its general
counsel in the 1970s.
SOURCE: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruth_Bader_Ginsburg
I considered Ruth as leader because she motivates women in America to fight for
their rights and freedom. She even encouraged every human being to show respect
and view women as an artifact that is needed to take care of. They are glass that was
easily broken and can’t easily fix. I just want to leave here the things she said that will
surely inspire each one of us, “Fight for the things you care about, but do it in a way
that will lead others to join you.” Furthermore, to add some additional information she
remains one of the most influential women in modern history. Being one of the first
women ever to enroll at Harvard Law School, she had a prestigious academic career
before she went on to argue cases for women’s rights that have helped to try and
level the playing field for women. She has fought against gender discrimination every
step of the way, and continues to do so from her esteemed seat on the United States
Supreme Court.
10. OPRAH WINFREY she was awarded the Spingarn Medal from the NAACP. In
2002, Christianity Today published an article called "The Church of O" in which they
concluded that Winfrey had emerged as an influential spiritual leader. Winfrey was
called "arguably the world's most powerful woman" or "arguably the most influential
woman in the world".
SOURCE: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oprah_Winfrey
After reading the early life of Oprah in an article, I felt sad. Because, before she
achieved this success she was definitely devastated. She mentally and sexually
abused her young age. Perhaps, this is the reason why she is now a good leader.
Because of her bad experiences in life, a better self of her is now evolved. She even
paved a way for modern feminism. She even told every woman who is literally
abused just like her, “Refusing to stay in a box that society tried to put them in. Take
a lesson from me and learn not to take “no” for an answer.” Charismatic leadership is
seen of Oprah's dominance as the first woman to own her own network broadcast
changing the lives of millions of her viewers. Oprah is self-confident and shares
personal stories about her pain and joy. She is an authentic communicator who
makes a strong connection with her audience.
