INTRODUCTION OF THE STUDY

Chapter 1 includes:(1)Background and Theoritical

Framework of the Study,(2)Statement of the Problem and

the Hypothesis,(3) Significance of the Study, (4)

Definitions of Terms,(5) Delimitation of the Study.

Part One,Background presents the rationale for

selecting the present problem and the study’s frame of

reference that strengthens the reasons for the

investigations.

Part Two, Theoritical and Conceptual Framework,

discusses the principles in the ideas, on which the study

is anchored and the various variables surrounding the

problems into which the problem may have a relation with

or influence.

Part Three, Statement of the Problem, states that the

general and specific objectives of the study, which are

to be addressed in the study.

Part Four, Significance of the Study, discusses the

benefits each end-users may derived from and how each can

profit from the results.

Part Five, Definitions of Terms, defines both

conceptually and operationally the key terms and

variables used in the study.

Part Six, Scope and Delimitation of the Study

specifies that the limits as well as the boundaries of

the research in terms of variables, participants,

instruments, and statistical tools used in the study.

Background and Theoritical Framework

of the Study

According to Undersecretary Dina S. Ocampo, one of the

characteristic of K to 12 curriculum is based in Section

5(e) RA 1053. It emphasizes in current curriculum to

enhance the research skills of students, therefore a lot

of subject in Senior High School involves research.

Subject with research components are the following:

Komunikasyon at Pananaliksik sa Wika at Kulturang

Pilipino, English for Academic and Professional

Purposes,Practical Research 1 (Qualitative),Practical

Research 2(Quantitative),Empowerment Technology,

Entrepreneurship,and Business Management according to

(Ferrer M.B. 2018).

Marneyt A. White PhD. Ms, Psychology,(2018) states that

Mental Health refers to cognitive, behavioral, and

emotional well being. It is all about how people

think, feel, and behave. People sometimes use the term

A systematic review found that half of the students of

the students reported mental distress symptoms before

they began their studies, while remaining half development

symptoms from the United States, Canada, and United

Kingdom confirm higher rates mental problem among

University or school students compared to the general

population of the same age group according to (Adalf et

al..,2001; Bawisk et al..,2010; Keyes et al..,2012)

According to Byrd and Mckinney (2012), both anxiety and

depression are detrimental to academic and social

participation in every students life. In turn,

depressions and anxiety often affect memory and

concentration, which makes it more difficult to acquire

knowledge and cope up with examination situation.

Based on the observation and experience of Researcher,

subjects with research components is the main problem of

students nowadays. They had observe mental health problem

can affect students energy level,concentration,mental

ability and optimism.

Roxas City School for Philippines Craftsmen (RCSPC) is

also experiencing this kind of problem in every students

about their mental health most especially Senio High

School students.

Statement of the Problem and Hypothesis

Generally this research aimed to identify the effects of

subject with research components on students Mental

Health.

Specifically, this study aimed to answer the following

questions:

1. What are the subject with research components?

2. What are the mental health condition disorders that

affect the mood, thinking, and behavior of students?

3. How to handle the affects of mood, thinking, and

behavior of students?

4. Is there a big factor to mental health of students to

their academic performances?

In view of aforementioned statement of the problem, the

following hypothesized.
1. There is an effect of subject with research components

to the mental health of students.

2. There is no effect of subject with research components

to the mental health of the students.

Significance of the Study

This research benefits the students and teachers of Roxas

City School for Philippine Craftsmen (RCSPC).

Students - It provides a better understanding of how

subjects with research components on students mental

health of senior high school students in Roxas City

School for Philippine Craftsmen (RCSPC, School Year 2022-

2023. This utilized purposive sampling technique. The

participants of this study is the 50 purposively chosen

students of Grade 12.

The researcher will ask permission from the office of

the Principal of Roxas City School for Philippine

Craftsmen to conduct a study for Grade 12 students. After

the researcher ask permission from the school head

teacher in order to get the names of Grade 12 students in

its school of RCSPC.

As a researcher we will distribute the questionnaire

to the respondents. Data will be gathered analyze and
