Before the lesson

Material: Video about the activity.


Presentation (ppt).

Timing: 20 minutes.

Language: Expressions to ask “Where someone is from?”

Instructions:

 Recognize specific information about him/herself (Where is he/she from?)


 Listen to the student’s conversation.
 Change the information from the book with personal information.
 Take notes.
 Start to practice.

Seating arrangement: Back to Back.

Possible problems:

1. Grammar Lack of knowledge.


2. Pronunciation Intonation.
Lead in
T shows the video about the activity.
T shows the presentation (ppt)
Setting up the activity

Organize seating arrangement (back to back)
Give instructions (including switch roles)
Demonstration about the activity.
Timing (time limit: 10min)

Running the activity


Consider teacher roles, take notes.
Monitor the activity.
Support the students without being over helpful.
Make the student feel comfortable and able to speak.

Closing the activity


Give a time warming.
Choose a group to make a demonstration of the activity.

Post activity

Give feedback on Student’s responses


Make an extra activity if there’s time left (Included in the ppt there are pictures of famous people.
Try to replace the information in the conversation.
