This unit is a part of Cardio Thoracic center. The Centre has 200 beds exclusively for Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery
with all the ancillary facilities required for comprehensive care for all cardiovascular disorders. It has various departments such
as Cardiology, Cardiac Anesthesia and Critical care, Cardiac Pathology, Cardiac Radiology, Cardiothoracic & Vascular
Surgery, Cardiac Biochemistry, ORBO & Stem cell facility, Nuclear Medicine and Blood Transfusion Services. In CTVS ICU
we care for Pediatric and adult population both male and female who underwent cardio thoracic surgery. It is an Immediate
post Op area where patients are transferred directly from Cardiac OT. This unit receives minimum of 6 post operative cases per
day. The nurse patient ratio is 1:1 for post op day and 1st post op day patients and 1:2 for late post op day patients. Average
length of stay of post op patients in the ICU is 3-4 days. This may prolong if some complications occur to the patients.
