    A) SALIENT FEATURES
    The dam site is located about 25 km from the
    Rawalpindi city, about 5 km from Kahuta-
    1. Location Rawalpindi road and about 8 km in west
    direction from Rawat under the administrative
    control of District Rawalpindi.
    The Ling River falls in the Soan River near
    Sihala just upstream of Islamabad Highway
    2. River / Stream
    crossing at Kak Pul. The Ling River is draining
    in North-West direction to Soan River.
