I. Rationale:

The Department of Education (DepEd) reiterates the importance of Results-Based


Performance management System (RPMS) which is aligned with the Philippine
Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST) in equipping the teachers in “ensuring the
delivery of quality, accessible, relevant and liberating basic education in the country.”

In adherence to DepEd Memorandum No. 045, s. 2020, the department is


scheduled to conduct Phase III: Performance Review and evaluation and Phase IV:
Performance Rewarding and Development Planning of the Results-based
Performance Management System (RPMS) Cycle, School Year (SY) 2019-2020
for school-based personnel in April 2020. These phases include yearend review and
assessment, evaluation of portfolio and computation of final rating, ways forward and
development planning.

Teachers play a crucial role in nation-building. Through quality teachers, the


Philippines can develop holistic learners who are globally competitive, well moulded
with values and equipped with 21st century skills.

SRES Teachers are helping/assisting each other in understanding on how to


answer the e-SAT form in order to determine what are the learnings, trainings,
coaching and mentoring each one should undergo.

II. Objectives:

1. To support teacher’s performance and professional work.


2. To guide teachers on which RPMS indicators must improve and on what areas
they need coaching and mentoring; and
3. To help teachers improve the delivery of quality basic education.
