4. Using slotted line, the following measurements were recorded; distance of first
voltage minimum from the load=4cm, distance of second voltage minimum from
the load=14 cm, SWR=1.5. If the line is lossless and Zo=50, find the load
impedance.
5. At an operating frequency of 300 MHz, a lossless 50- 2.5 meter in length is
terminated with impedance Z L ( 40 j20 ) . Find the input impedance.

6. A lossless TL of electrical length L=0.35 is terminated in a load impedance as
shown in the figure. Find the reflection coefficient, VSWR, and input impedance.
Now, a resistor is connected as shown at distance d max from the load where dmax
is the distance from the load of a voltage maximum. Find the value of such
resistance so that the input impedance is seen as matched to the TL

junction, if the connecting line length is /4.
ii. Calculate Zin of the feedline, and hence determine the reflection coefficient

iv. Find the corresponding updated input reflection coefficient at the feedline when the
frequency has been increased by 20%.
