Here’s a summary of Heneral Luna The Movie made by me.

The first scene was that in a

certain room, General Luna was alone with a boy named Joven, who wanted to write a
biography about the general. He asked him to tell the story of life and the general reminded
him jokingly that the biography might become a novel.

Then, it started in the meeting between the higher officials of the government. Of course,
President Emilio Aguinaldo and the Prime Minister of the Philippines, Apolinario Mabini were
present at the assembly. However, it was not a civil conversation among the members. They
were shouting at each other, debating on wether they should be trusting the Americans or
not. It was clear to the others that the foreign country was plotting something against their
country. However, there are some people that still sided with the Americans, saying that
they were trustworthy, unlike the Spaniards. Pedro Paterno was one them. Thus, useless
arguements erupted among them again and again.

“Para kayong mga birhen na naniniwala sa pag-ibig ng isang puta.” -one of Generel Luna’s
remarkable line during the discourse.

The arrival of a messenger stopped the brawl momentarily, sending a letter to the President
which contained bad news. Yes, the inevitable happened. Some soldiers scouting in Santa
Mesa district, Manila were killed by the Americans and had terrotized other places in the
Philippines too.

After the leaders were stationed on the territories they must protect, General Luna with his
trusted comrades,Jose Alejandrino, Francisco “Paco” Roman, Eduardo Rusca, Jose Bernal,
and Manuel Bernal had a battle with the Americans in Intramuros. Their enemies were well-
equiped and trained, so they had to request reinforcements from the Kawit Brigade. But
Captain Pedro Janolino was irritated with the general’s bossy attitude so, he refused to
follow his orders. Luna was so annoyed with his lack of cooperation so, he stomped into the
hut the captain was in, who was sleeping beside a naked woman, and dragged him outside
to humilliate him in front of his soldiers. Janolino reported the general’s wicked deed to the
president, but Mabini counseled Aguinaldo to let it pass.

The country was at war, but the pathetic cabinet members were still arguing about
deepening the relationship of Americans and Filipinos. Felipe Buencamino was pressing on
trusting them, which earned him an arrest from General Luna, who was flamed by his lies.
President Aguinaldo was aware that the other members are getting fed up of the Luna’s
attitude. Luna also fought with General Mascardo because he was spewing insults at his co-
general, who refused to accept that he had a son in the war who chikened out.

After those internal battle, General Luna went to house of the love of his life to clear his
mind from pressures and stuggles. Isobel was the name of the young woman.

“Mas mahalaga ang papel natin sa digmaan kaysa sa anumang nararamdaman natin,” she
stated as a closure to her relationship with the general. She was right. She pledged that it
will be their last rendezvous and by the next time they meet again, they are stangers to
each other.

When General Luna was back at his home, he played his guitar. His moment was
interruped by his mother, Doña Laureana Luna y Novicio, who had spoken with him
shortyly. She reminded him that he was bound to die if he continued fighting, but
nonetheless, his will wasn’t shaken. He could have been a doctor, but look at how destiny
played with him ‘cause right now, he’s a mighty general.

Then, General Luna was summoned by a telegram written by the President that asked him
to show up in Cabanatuan. When he arrived, he was welcomed by the silence of the place.
Stangely, there’s only a few people around. Felipe Buencamino was the only one present in
the office and he told him that the President left long ago before he arrived. When he heard
a gunshot outside, he went out in order to punish the soldier who did it. In the ambush, the
general was fired and stabbed to death.

In the ending, Felipe, Aguinaldo and Joven were explaining their sides of the story. General
Luna’s demise left a lot of questions unanswered. The end.

I think everything was difficult for him. He fought for his country, leaded many soldiers and
constructed battle strategies. At first, it was not what he really dreamed of. He was
supposed to be a doctor, saving lives of other people, but he was placed on a battlefield,
risking his life to save everyone. The most difficult part in his period of being a general is
that he had to argue with his co-Filipinos, make them follow his orders, and fight for what he
think is right. Not everyone agreed with his morals, thus earning him the title of “Heneral
Artikulo Uno” because of his strictness.

For me, the climax and ending had the most impact for me, because it made me realize
how scary power is. It is the reason why the Americans conquered us, why General Luna’s
death is still a mystery, and why peace cannot be achieved that easily. Because of power
and selfishness, it blinded us greatly from nationalism.

Actually, I’m not really a fan of history so, I don’t who General Luna is. I’ve watched other
historical movies before (while daydreaming most of the time), yet Heneral Luna was the
only movie that left a mark on me. It just saddens me that they had to remove it from the
cinemas too soon. We were even planning on rewatching it, but too bad, our schedule didn’t
let us. Yes, it is very worthy. It felt like I’ve learned more from that movie than those days in
highschool spent in learning Philippine history. I had to vent my frustration on other things
because the cliffhanger pissed the hell out of me.

My first impression on General Luna was like “This is the kind of leader that the Philippines
need right now”. I really adored him for his strength, his will to protect his country and his
persistent on his beliefs. He was positively insane, especially at the part when he charged
at those armed American soldiers, exposing himself to death. During those times, he almost
gave up his life, attempting suicide using his gun while hiding from their persuers. Yet, he
continued to fight and live, even if it had crossed his mind that it was all hopless. He have
hope because it was his country, after all.
Nowadays, people who would rather risk their lives for the sake of their country are rarely to be found. Its
actually unusual and weird to implant in the mind that some would actually do that. Its hard to choose
between your family and your country, but what’s harder is to risk your own happiness for a satisfying
painful death.
Surely, many people have heard about Dr. Jose Rizal, Andres Bonifacio and Emilio Aguinaldo
– the Philippines most famous heroes, but actually they aren’t the only heroes we know, and not all the
“truth” are stated in the books. Heneral Luna is a historical film about one of the Philippines’ greatest
generals. He was the most intelligent in the Philippine military, the wisest man who ever ruled the
Philippine system in fighting using brilliant tactics instead of technology. “Hindi natin sila matatalo sa
teknolohiya, pero tatalunin natin sila sa taktika” This was one of the lines that caught my attention proving
that his decisions are different when it comes to winning wars. Emilio Aguinaldo even stated that Heneral
Luna was one of his best war general under him and he never regret anything during his time simply
because Luna was at his right side. Heneral Luna doesn’t fear anything or anyone except his mom. He
would even go after corrupt officials and even the president, Emilio Aguinaldo if he thinks that Aguinaldo
was up to something bad but still some people are stupid, idiotic, pea-brains, and they would go after
Luna without thinking that they could eat a “knuckle sandwich” after their confrontation. I still don’t get why
they killed our bravest general . People were consumed by their infinite greed and vanity. People got
angry at him for being so short-tempered, he was not a smooth-talker, smart, and being the president’s
favorite general. Even Gen. Douglas McArthur said that they could have been best friends by any
circumstances but the people before were demonic enough to kill the Philippines’ only hope for liberation
against the Americans.
He is uneducated when it comes to English nevertheless, he was a great doctor. Even if he
belonged to a wealthy family, he still chose to live a hard troubled life in order for him to accomplish his
mission in gaining Philippine independence. His patriotism can’t be measured and it is boundless as the
ocean, as high as Mt. Everest and as strong as a tree bowing its branches up to God. He might be
arrogant sometimes, hot-tempered but he had respect and basically not everybody possesses that trait.
This movie is awesome! And surely it would create droplets of tears in your eyes whenever you
remembered the movie. It would really touch your heart and would make you realize that life isn’t all about
happiness but of sacrifice .He never had justice at his death But God Knows that He accomplished
something great. Few only truly love our country, we don’t know and even heard but Luna truly sacrificed
a lot. I hope we can see another movie that is worth it enough to watch, and the movie is not that
desperate to gain viewers by giving 50percent off to the students but it’s a great strategy for making
history more fun and more detailed.

“I consider movies as an art. For me, the movie, Heneral

Luna is worth watching for because its message is truly
engaging”.

As a viewer, perhaps I was not able to get the exact

message that the director wanted to convey; but
obviously, the movie is about the willingness of our
Filipino ancestors who fought and willingly sacrificed for
the country. In particular, Heneral Antonio Luna, the
main character, was depicted as the nationalistic leader
of the Filipino soldiers. Here, the filmmakers were able
to create a character somehow similar to us, something
which we can relate for. The author wanted us to show
the true meaning of patriotism. Selflessness and
fearlessness as well were represented very well by
General Luna, but the problem was that the government
lacked in unity, causing him to face more formidable
enemy than the American army; which was in fact his
own treacherous countrymen. The movie shows how
selfishness and having no collective unity and loyalty in
the society greatly affects the country. The movie
reminds us of the sacrifices and the blood wasted, just to
achieve the freedom and independence that we have long
been aspiring for.

The film is engaging because the author makes it

realistic for it to become convincing for the viewers. The
scenarios are naturally implied to Filipino people’s
characteristic before, one of which was depicted was that
they did not mind to use vulgar words. Moreover, the
movie is not depicted too poetic so the generations are
able to relate. The film is also not boring so the viewers
are interested to watch it.

The movie fulfilled the functions of art for it can be a

commemoration to Antonio Luna because the movie
showed its viewers of his patriotism and heroism. It
emphasized the history of our country under the
jurisdiction of then President Emilio Aguinaldo as
General Luna lead the Philippine army for the freedom of
our country. It also shows the political hierarchy in his
time. Watching the film, it expands our knowledge about
our history and at the same time it is also entertaining.

The way how the director created the film is fascinating.

Here, the director and his team blend humor and war,
making it more interesting and not boring. I am not
usually the person fascinated with historical movies but
the film Heneral Luna helps me to appreciate more of
this types of movies and also to study our country’s
history. It made me think that there is something behind
the war more than what we know and what has been told
us. The way they give flavor to the characters is amazing
since they act just like the typical Filipinos. There are
lots of lines that is truly remarkable for Filipinos, like
what Luna had said, “Negosyo o kalayaan, Bayan o sarili,
Pumili ka!” and figurative lines like “Nasubukan mo na
bang huliin ang hangin?”.

In the movie, there was this young man named Joven

Hernandez, Jr, who served as the narrator in the movie.
With his character, understanding the film was made
easier. However, after watching the movie twice, it makes
me puzzled out why the General keeps on protecting him
in the middle of the war. I mean, is it really important for
the General to keep him safe just for the interview?
Looking at this matter, I think that he [Joven] represents
new generations, us. Antonio Luna strives to gain the
freedom of our country and to win the war against
foreign colonizers not only for them, but for the
succeeding generations as well. But whoever Joven
represents, his character makes the movie flow smoothly.

I am really impressed with the movie. The unique

perspective and idea of the filmmaker, the way the artists
brought their character, and all of the style they used in
making such a beautiful movie, truly caught the attention
of the viewers. It is just that, I got disappointed about the
unexpected unhappy ending. I mean, why some of the
Filipino before, kill the General instead of just being open
and cooperative. Its ending was also unclear but being
unclear makes the viewers to create and imagine their
own ending based from their understanding.

Heneral Luna (Reflection

Paper)
“Mga kapatid, mayroon tayong mas malaking kaaway
kaysa mga Amerikano. Ang ating sarili”. This was the
quote that really hit me hard during the film. This was
said by Antonio Luna during the meeting with the other
political associates. Isn’t it true? I mean look at us even
right now. This coming May 2016, the entire nation of the
Philippines will be voting again for a new leader. But look
at our running candidates, instead of planning to help
one another to achieve the best for our country, they are
bashing and destroying’s one’s reputation.

The film is truly a masterpiece. It isn’t just a film that we

could watch and enjoy. It is about our past, our ancestors
who fought for freedom, our motherland! The film didn’t
just really focus about Antonio Luna but also some of the
events during the Philippine-American War. For example,
it showed how the war started when there was a
misunderstanding between the American and Filipino
soldiers. Antonio Luna was really a good general but very
conceited. He really showed his love for his country by
risking his life in battle.

I also have reaction about the reaction of some of my

block mates and other people while watching the film or
after watching it. I already have watch Heneral Luna
before and it is my second time to watch it during
Aesthet class. With all due respect to some of the people
who are saying negative comments about Aguinaldo,
Mabini, Buencamino, and any other people who had an
negative involvement with Luna, I think it’s bias for them
to say negative things like “ang sama sama naman ni
Aguinaldo, G*go siya!” and many more. Do they think
Luna is such a clean person? NO! He also had deviant
behaviors. That’s what you’ll think because well yeah the
movie focus on Luna. But in my opinion, Luna, Aguinaldo,
Buencamino, and many much more are all the same.
They are our heroes who think differently but still tried
something for the sake of the Philippines.

For me Joven is the people of today because as you could

see at the ending, he was the one who was
questioning/asking the people about Luna’s death or
what the f happened? That’s us because our hearts are
pounding because of hatred of why did it happen in that
way? We are all like other Filipino seeking for justice and
answers.

HENERAL LUNA REFLECTION PAPER

 Summary of the movie

The story took place during the Philippine-American War, focusing on the leadership of Heneral
Luna to the Philippine Revolutionary Army. It revolved not only about the war against the
Americans, but mainly on the conflict among Filipinos. The issue was about the presence of
Americans and other Filipinos supporting the Americans’ ways such as Buencamino and Paterno.
The idea of fellow Filipinos supporting Americans enraged Heneral Luna for he was very
patriotic and strongly fought for the freedom of the Philippines. Though Luna was considered to
be a great leader of the army, some were against his leadership for others envy or were
threatened by his presence. He had conflicts with other fellow generals such Mascardo which
lead to more hatred against Luna.

Luna was assassinated at Aguinaldo’s headquarters. He was framed that the President called him,
though upon his arrival he already left and Buencamino was the one in the office. During their
argument, shots were fired outside so Luna went out to inspect. The brutal killing happened as
Janolino appeared, captain of Kawit that he also had a fight with, killing him along with the other
soldiers against Luna. He was shot and stabbed repeatedly to death. Other loyal soldiers to Luna
were killed including the Bernal brothers. Heneral Luna was buried with full military honors as
ordered by Aguinaldo by the same men who killed him.

Heneral Antonio Luna’s killers were never found and still remains a controversy up to now.

 Reflection

Antonio Luna’s leadership against Americans could have been successful without the other
fellow Filipinos that were against his plans or enforcements. Just like managing conflict and
getting along with co-workers, Luna and the others should have had the same interest or goal for
the Philippines. We may say that they…...

HENERAL LUNA
(Movie Reaction Paper)
The movie Heneral Luna is about the life and how Heneral Antonio Luna saved our country
even if his friends are traitors. I became more aware that our country has a lot of hidden story
from the past. We thought things are right but the truth is the perception that we believe is
wrong. I also understand why Filipinos are greedy of power. Even in the past there is a thing
politics which many people killed someone just to maintain their power.
What I really like in the movie is that it tells the truth and what really happen in our country.
When I watched that I am somehow angry on the past presidents because some of them were
not that good model. This movie tells that in the past, if you are brave enough and you are in the
right path to fight for what is correct, others say that you are a traitor or you are being arrogant.
I really admire this movie because it is historical and it is very entertaining because despite of
the theme of the movie (action-historical) there is a little bit comedy. Actors and actresses are
very good in acting. I learned a lot and I realized that once in a life time there is a brave man
who fights for the justice of our country.

THE ACTOR describes “Heneral Luna” as “serious, witty, dramatic” and done
“naturally,” not “stylized.”
Jerrold Tarog’s historical epic “Heneral Luna,” perhaps the most talked about film
today after being chosen as the Philippines’ bet in the 2016 Academy Awards, has not
only posed thought-provoking questions to its viewers, but also left them stuck with a
lot of quotable quotes.

Those who were able to see the highly acclaimed biopic took to social media to share
memorable lines from the film and even generated memes out of them.

But which “Heneral Luna” quote is the most striking of them all? In an online poll
conducted by INQUIRER.net, 29.39 percent of readers or equivalent to 1,892 out of
6,437 respondents said the quote that struck the most truthful note was “Negosyo o
Kalayaan? Bayan o sarili, pumili ka! (Business or freedom? Our native land or one’s
self-serving interests, choose one!)”
The line was delivered by lead character General Antonio Luna, played by actor John
Arcilla, during a meeting of then President Emilio Aguinaldo’s Cabinet in Bulacan.
Luna was addressing Cabinet members who proposed the annexation of the
Philippines to the United States amid fears that their private businesses would collapse
in the war.
Meanwhile, more than 18 percent of respondents or 1,169 readers chose the quote,
“Kaya nating magbuwis ng buhay para sa pamilya pero para sa isang prinsipyong
makabayan? (We can sacrifice our life for our family but how about for a common
patriotic cause?”)
Lamenting the Filipinos’ too much focus on filial interests over national
consciousness, it was delivered also by Luna when he was talking to young journalist
Joven Hernando, played by Aaron Villaflor.

These hugot lines all hit close to home, especially since the political problems at that time are still
apparent today. At the end, the film ultimately confronts our notion of nationalism: Who are we as a
nation? Why do the same societal ills continue to plague us until now? What are we doing about it?
It makes us ask the hard questions that we might be even afraid to answer. The good thing about it
is that it has opened a venue to openly discuss these things and–and to eventually act on them.

“Hearty Paws” tells about the story of Chan, Soyi and Hearty. Chan and Soyi’s
mother left them in their auntie’s care and went to the city to earn money but she
never came back. Since Soyi wanted a dog for her birthday, Chan stole a pup for
his sister’s birthday gift. Chan loved his sister so much and has been living a
simple life with her and their dog. He was willing to take all the hardships in life
and was trying to be strong for his sister.

While playing in the snowfield reigned by Hearty, Chan excused himself to poop,
and when hearty saw a kite, he got distracted and run after it, but the ice broke
and a hole was created. Soyi followed and when Chan realized what was
happening, he ran after then but it was too late as Soyi fell in the hole and died.
Chan sought his mother’s location but he could not bring up to her the news of
Soyi’s passing. He has also disregarded Hearty and left him when he went to
Busan, little did he know that his dog followed him. He joined a group of children
handled by a thug because he has nowhere else to go, and later saw Hearty
while he was being caught in front of a public locker stand where he kept Soyi’s
favorite pink bag given by their mother. Hearty was also included by the gang
but he later earned the ire of the gang leader when he stood up to his friend. The
next day they were brought to a theme park while Hearty was pawned to the
ferocious fighter dog of the gang leader. He was left wounded and hurting in a
trash lot. The minions of gang leader hinted what happened to Hearty and in
Chan’s anger he slammed Becky’s dog cage waking up the gang meany and the
rest of the household. He was almost thrown at Becky’s cage but his friend
called the police to rescue him.

Chan set forth to do what ever may come to him, but got hold up when gang
leader chased after him and tried to abduct him. Hearty came to rescue him and
his cold heart warmed up with his dog’s sincerity, thus they went back to their
dog-bromance. When Chan got sick, Hearty looked after him, and when the
police took him to look for his guardian, on Hearty’s barking, they were alerted
that Chan was being kidnapped. Crazy gang leader blaming Chan on his
business decline and his pet dog’s demise tried to kill him, but trust Hearty to
save his master. Evil villain beat Hearty, and in his struggling sick self, Chan
mustered his remaining strength to the dog that has given all of his life to him

Hearty unfortunately suffered so much, and in the end Chan and him went back
home. Chan woke up and saw Hearty lying down on the gate trying to go
somewhere. Chan figured where he was meaning to go, and in the bus stop
where he and Soyi used to stay to wait for him. Hearty bid goodbye to his
master. *sniff *sniff Another heartwarming movie you can share with your family,
and if you are a dog lover like me, I can guarantee this as a nice watch.

Heart is...
aka Hearty Paws

left them one year ago. They never lost hope that their mother may come back for them someday, but
deep down inside Chan knows, that this day will never arrive.
The two children live at the house of some distant relatives. Chan fondly takes cares of his sister and
even gives her a puppy at her birthday, which she so much wished for all the time. Soi names the dog
Maeumi, which means something like "Heart". With this new friend at their side, life seems more joyful.
Until something terrible happens one day...
To make things worse Chan's relatives move out, so that he has no one to turn to anymore. However, he
now has the address of his mother, and so he goes to Busan to look for her. Eventually he ends up as a
beggar on the streets. Feeling down and being torn by grief, Chan even casts out his dog Maeumi, who
yet keeps following him at every turn. In the end his dog proves to be a true loyal friend and rescues
Chan on more than one occassion, even when the boy has to deal with the dangerous leader of a beggar
gang.

Review: How cute! A movie about a dog! And two cute child-actors in the main lead. A true film for the
whole family!
Far from it! "Heart is..." is a drama through and through. In fact, the movie lies so heavy in your stomach,
that it becomes almost unbearable. Even though I was prewarned about the high kleenex consumption
the movie claims, the film just merely remains within the border of what's bearable. If you like to shed
some (or some more) tears while watching a drama, then this one is what you are looking for. "Heart
is..." may obviously aim at manipulating its audience, but it manages to do so surprisingly well, without
feeling too forced or contrived. Of course there are some scenes, that are a bit too overdramatic, but all
in all everything falls into place. The drama around man's most loyal friend is luckily no typical dog-
movie, but instead focuses on the protagonists, of whom one by chance happens to be of the four-
legged species. A movie full of emotions and heart-wrenching scenes.

First, you might feel led to believe that "Heart is..." is in fact a family movie. There is a cute puppy, that
makes its first lumbering footsteps into this new world, and there is the girl Soi who is also cute as a
button. What's following in the first half hour is an introduction into an everything but intact, yet happy
family life. This joyfulness is naturally emanating from Maeumi, who proves to be a great and loveable
playfellow. But there is a reason why this movie is titled a drama. After this nice heart-warming
introduction the catastrophe that comes hits us especially hard. What happens in detail is nothing to be
written about here - to avoid any spoilering, of course - but when you think about it again, it's also pretty
obvious. Still, when we have to watch one of the protagonists meeting his fate, then this scene is
nonetheless quite shocking and emotionally involving. Additionally, from this moment on, everything
goes down to hell. The feeling of being choked by all the sadness won't leave you until the very end,
since director Oh Dal-gyoon lets Chan suffer a true ordeal of a drama.
For some reason Chan doesn't get broken by all the strokes of fate he has to endure. Once again it shows
that a child's heart maybe isn't as fragile as many might expect. Nevertheless, we suffer along with him -
and Maeumi - and we don't get any break or chance to breathe either. Maeumi is getting mistreated by
his former owner, because Chan feels himself reminded of the tragedy that happened, every time he
sees his dog. Partly he also blames the dog for it. Nonetheless, Maeumi remains loyal to Chan, and this in
such an enthralling way, that it can really go near to your heart. That is also because the labrador
retriever is one of the strongest actors in the movie, and that's saying something, since the rest of the
actors are all delivering performances on a high niveau. The director - and mainly the dog trainer -
manage it to let Maeumi look astonishingly human. You can even read the emotions in the eyes of the
dog actor, which is almost frightening. Normally I'm no friend of manipulative dog movies that are going
for some easy tears, but "Heart is..." doesn't feel like such a film in the end. The scene when Maeumi,
apparently for several days, follows the tracks of a train, only to find his master in an other town, really is
heart-wrenching.

Chan himself ends up in Busan, eventually, where he looks for his mother. It's not easy to imagine a
mother abandoning her own two children, but director Oh Dal-gyoon by no means draws a hackneyed
picture of an evil mother. In fact the mother is plagued by her feelings of guilt later on, and rightly so, but
it's already too late to change anything or elude the tragedy.
Anyway, in Busan Chan runs into a group of child beggars, who found shelter at the home of someone
who seems to care for them, but also flagrantly exploits them. He turns the children into a professional
organisation and keeps most of their daily income for himself. Somehow, this part of the movie feels a bit
odd, as it aims at creating an unnecessary climax at the end. The leader of the beggar gang is the all-too-
apparent villian, who in some pretty harsh scenes not only beats up Maeumi with a baseball bat, but as
already mentioned also mistreats the children. Of course, he also owns a dog himself, who engages into
a fight to the finish with Maeumi. This may not feel as out of place as one might think at first, but it's still
an unnecessary insertion, as well as the contrived finale, at which Maeumi enters the stage as the knight
in shining armor, of course.

However, throughout the film director Oh develops a fine sense for how he can emotionally involve his
audience into the scenes on screen, which is why we can forgive some of the obvious flaws. Still, the
finale feels too stretched and doesn't seem to know where to put things to an end. The dog factor, which
underlines the themes of fidelity and loyalty, also works in a motif of reconciliation and remedy. In the
end, the movie will emotionally drag you down so much that you'll get an uneasy feeling in your
stomach. Apparently, the filmmakers did get aware of that and tried to give "Heart is..." a sweet touch at
the end, too, maybe too qualify the drama. But it doesn't work out. We still remain deeply emotionally
exhausted and have to take a break after the credits roll over the screen.
No question about it: "Heart is..." is a movie for drama-enthusiasts. Dali, who is playing Maeumi, looks
extremely human and crystallizes as the biggest upside of the film. The child actors, and I don't just
mean Yoo Seung-ho, also deliver great performances and make this drama so worthwhile.
From a technical point of view, there is little to none to criticize. Sometimes the movie may seem
somwhat manipulative in its approach to move the viewer, but it also proves to be surprisingly
captivating and emotionally engaging. Friends of tearjerker-dramas shouldn't miss this one!
