WRITTEN MEDIATION

INSTRUCTIONS
Your father has decided to do his Christmas shopping online from home, but
he's worried about cyber security. He has looked for a way to shop safely, but
since he has not understood it very well, he has sent you the infographic below
so that you can explain it to him. Send him a text message (120-140 words) to
clarify it for him. Don’t forget to use your own words whenever possible.

WRITING

Hi dad! Glad to hear from you! To tell you the truth…trying to do the shopping online is not a
piece of cake…but I will give you some tips to feel safe and comfortable doing it!

First of all I consider it is one of the most important things is that do not connect your devices
to the public Wi-Fi, you have your own and you do not need others. Also, it is important you
use familiar websites and you verify the security of them.

Another thing, you should create a unique and strong password that anybody can guess and
check your bank account regularly to know if something out of ordinary happens.

Well, that’s all for now. Hope you pass this subject with flying colors and don’t be afraid!
