Executive Summary

This documents aims at exploring the possibilities of “jointly” promoting the contents
designed and included in “My 1st International Preschool Curriculum”, developed and
published by MFI Educators Pvt. Ltd., an initiative of a 50 years old SPM Educational
Group.

My 1st International Preschool is a venture of MFI Educators. MFI Educators has

“Indianised” the curriculum provided and contributed by a team of prominent
international educators from Canada, UK & the USA.

Proposal
My 1st International Preschool curriculum is based on EXE (Experimental Education)
framework, which ensures one-to-one co-ordination between each child and the
teacher. EXE framework follows a standard and structured curriculum throughout all
the preschool grades hence ensures that all the focus areas of a child’s development
are addressed with respective complexities.

It is proposed that Envision Education Society’s Smart Kidz Preschool formally adopt
My 1st International Preschool’s curriculum. It is also proposed that Smart Kidz
teaches My 1st International Preschool’s curriculum using the latest technology like
computers, projectors / LED screens.

Introduction of My 1st International Preschool (MFI Preschool)

My 1st International Preschool is a preschool chain owned by MFI Educators Private

Limited, an ISO 9001:2008 organisation. My 1st International Preschool curriculum is
an initiative of a 50 years old SPM Educational Group.

The past -
S.P. Mandal, founded in 1945, is a not-for-profit educational charitable society
registered with the Government of Maharashtra. The society was established 50 yes
ago with an intention to provide education in field of medicine.

The present –
S.P. Mandal, today has its own Engineering College, Biotechnology College, Physical
Education Collage, Department of Computer, English Medium Schools and a Marathi
Medium School.

Our visionary Hon’ble Dr. Prakash B. Nandurkar is recipient of many national and
state awards.

The future –
Considering the huge rising cost of quality education, My 1st International Preschool
intends to provide international quality education within the reach of “Aaam Admi”.
In the near future, My 1st International Preschool through its principal S.P. Mandal
intends to start a CBSE based Schools in and around Pune City.

Brand “My 1st International Preschool”

Uniqueness of My 1st International Preschool brand lies in the water tight connection
between its all incremental preschool grades curriculum, teachers lesson plan(day
wise: for 180 days) and activity guide (teaching material), students study material
and last but not least students and teachers assessment.

In another words, My 1st International Preschool brand reduces teacher’s effort and
time required to design a annual, weekly and daily lesson plan. More the brand
provides a detailed activity guide for teachers which facilitate them to achieve every
goal and objective aimed through our EXE based curriculum.

In short, My 1st International Preschool brand reduces the schools dependability on

the teachers.

Conventionally, most of the preschool curriculum teaches mathematics in an

unintelligent and unexciting manner. My 1st International Preschool consistently
replaces the conventional teaching “steps” with efficient mental processes &
intelligent verbalization activities rather than de-activate leaner's intelligence.

The first eight years of a child's life lasts a lifetime!! Known as the early childhood
stage, these years are globally acknowledged to be the most critical years for a life-
long development, since the pace of development in these years is extremely rapid.

During these years, very child needs to develop skills of literacy, numeracy,
communication and problem solving and acquire knowledge and understanding of
the physical and social world around and attitudes and skills related to enhancing
productivity and quality of life.

MFI Preschool’s Curriculum

Learning is a process; and foundation for good teaching is knowing about the
children. Preschoolers have their own particular characteristics. They are defining
who they are based on certain simple attributes or achievements. We at “My 1st
International Pre-School” provide a perfect platform for every child to discover him /
herself.

Our EXE-framework caters to five basic principles: active learning, positive adult-
child interactions, child friendly learning environment, and consistent daily routine
and team-based daily child assessment.

Opportunity

Due to its large population of 1.1 bn and cultural ethos, India is home to the largest
group of potential consumers of education services in the world. Population under
age group of 2-5 is 10-11cr (9-10%). gross enrolment rate (GER) in preschool is
18%, and is increasing @ 5-6% p.a.

Early childhood Education ECE (0-6 years) is of crucial importance especially from
the point of view of the development of child’s language, intelligence and
personality. It also provides a strong support to the child’s elementary education
during later years. ECE aims at total child development in a learning environment
that is joyful, child-centered, play and activity based.

Organized preschool market is dominated by a few private players; the current

urban market size is estimated to be 6000cr.

55% of Indian middle class households have started saving for quality education of
their children because it is no longer considered as an expense.

Strong growth opportunities are arising in running schools by private sector and
providing quality teaching content resources along with the use of new technology in
learning / teaching.

Considering the above facts and figures, we have come up with three “Business
Partnering Models” keeping in view the various aspects of business.

These models are as follows:

a) MFI School Franchise

b) MFI Master Franchise

MFI School Franchise
The MFI School Franchisee buys the rights from the franchiser to use the brand
name and propagate the curriculum contents to all its students during the period of
franchising.

The MFI School Franchisee are provided with all the material required in print as well
as digital form to enable teachers to impart International level of education to all the
students. Even students and parents are provided with our unique copyrighted
material. Regular training for teachers is conducted by the Franchisor. Student and
teacher assessment guides are provided by the franchisor.

MFI Master Franchise

With the MFI Master Franchise, you will be able to tap the potential of hitherto
untapped markets. The MFI Master Franchisee buys the rights to market and sell
franchises within a specific allotted territory.

A MFI Master Franchise allows you all the benefits of building a franchise network
without the risk of starting a new business.

MFI Joint Venture

Simply owning the rights to a franchise territory BUT retaining your original identity
(i:e original preschool name) is known as a Joint Venture (JV). A JV’s territory is
limited to a peripheral of 2 Kms. A JV enjoys all the benefits of a Franchise minus
the branding and advertisement. Also a JV needs to pay an little extra cost towards
students study material and teachers teaching material. At any point a JV can be
converted to a Franchise centre.

skills, and concepts is difficult for teachers. With our EXE-framework in place, the

Cost and Benefit Analysis w.r.t Joint Venture with Smart Kidz.

Partnering Structure for Smart Kidz.

It is proposed that Envision Education Society’s Smart Kidz Preschool and My 1st
International Preschool’s operate under the MFI Joint Venture module.

Following concerns will be honoured under the MFI Joint Venture module
#
1. Non refundable Franchisee Fee of ` 1,00,000/- for a period of 3 years.
2. As per this module Smart Kidz need not change their name. Our venture can
be portrayed as “In association with”
3. Smart Kidz is free to decide their free structure and extent of services to be
provided.
4. ` 3,500/- per student per year towards study material## shall be charges from
A.Y. 2013-2014 subject to an increment of 10% every year. For the A.Y.
2012-2013 Smart Kidz can utilise their current supplies/purchases.
5. 10% royalty on total fees collected by the school (minus the cost of study
material)
6. For the A.Y. 2013-2014 subject Smart Kidz can implement the teachers
Activity Guide and lesson plan, but w.r.t. exisiting study material.
7. MFI Educators will help Smart Kidz to facilitate a smooth transition of
curriculum and help increase the headcount.

Requirements to be a MFI Franchisee

Following are the minimum requirements to be a Franchisee.

• Passion for early childhood care & education.
• Already established pre-school with above 50 student enrolments.
• Capacity to invest ` 1 lakh.
