4. Describe your survey population(s) (i.e., list appropriate demographic characteristics such as
grade level and subject for students).
In the math classes, I distributed it to 94 eighth graders from Plaza Middle School, and 49 9th-12th
graders from Grassfield High School. The classes were mostly average-advanced, two classes were
lower learners.
5. List factors that might have influenced the results (e.g., survey was conducted near time of
report cards or progress reports).
Surveys were online and posted onto schoology. If students did not login, they would not have seen it.
They were told about the survey, but likely many forgot or had other things to do.
6. Analyze survey responses and answer the following questions:
A) What did students perceive as your major strengths?
Helping them learn, caring, using time wisely, good attitude, being organized
B) What did students perceive as your major weaknesses?
Students behaving in class, helping people to know how they are doing, using real-life
examples
C) How can you use this information for continuous professional growth?
Improving classroom management, help students know how they are doing
