* Additional toms, cymbals and percussion can be notated on remaining lines and spaces. Tom noteheads
are sometimes circled to distinguish them from the snare notehead. Care should be taken to review the
legend that appears at the beginning of any drum transcription in order to familiarize yourself with the
manner in which the transcriber has chosen to notate the drum voices.
