SYLLABUS

3 Number of credits: 3
* organize and present ideas and statements in a clear, logical and appropriate form
of presentation within 10 minutes
* read and understand various business-related texts including articles and reports
of upto 1,000 words as well as, commercial articles
* write e-mails, letters, memo, brief reports (upto 1,000 words) and other creative
commercials
9 Student's task * be punctual for all the lessons
* attend at least 80% of contact hours in order to be accepted to the final examination.

11 Teaching and Learning
Methodology This course applies instructional, communicative and interactive methods which
*provides inducive environment for communication between teacher and students as
well as between students themselves
*develops confidence and fluency through participation in case studies as simulations
of business scenarios;
*enhances skills and knowledge application through individual and group works and
self-study
12 Assessment scheme The course applies an on-going assessment scheme with progress tests, mid-term test
and final examination structured as follows
1) On-going assessment
'- Progress Test: 2*15% = 30%
- Assignment: 2*10% = 20%
2) Final Examination (FE) 50%
3) Final Result 100%

4) Completion Criteria:
a) Every on-going assessment component >0, Final Exam Score >=4/10 & Final
Result >=5/10
b) Each part of final exam must be >0.
