Task Performance
Entertainment Industry and Technology
Objectives:

At the end of the exercise, the students should be able to:

 Examine the impacts of technology in the entertainment industry;


 Identify the different applications of technology in entertainment; and
 Define the possible ERP modules for the entertainment industry.

Materials:

 One (1) personal computer with a pre-installed Snipping Tool, Microsoft Word, and Google Chrome
 Internet connection

Instructions:
1. Create a new document in Microsoft Word with the name format 10TP_LastName_FirstName (ex.
10TP_Reyes_Mika). This will serve as your answer sheet and will be collected by your instructor.
2. Select any three (3) fields of entertainment from the following list:
• Film making • Music and radio
• Fine arts and dance • Games
• Theater and opera • Television
3. Open Google Chrome. Search one (1) technology, either technological innovation or a new software
application, for each field that you have selected, which is NOT in 10 Handout 1. Then, provide answers
for the following items for each technology:
a. Name/Title of technology (3 points)
b. Image related to technology (2 points)
c. Give one (1) company utilizing the said technology (2 points)
d. References which contain the article and the image (e.g., website link) (3 points)
e. Enumerate and explain the features of the technology. (Essay: 15 points)
f. What are the possible impacts of this technology in the entertainment industry? Explain in more
than five (5) sentences. (Essay: 15 points)
4. Select one (1) ERP module for entertainment from the list below:
Production Management Module Contract Management Module
Market Management Module Statistics Module
5. Using your own words, define the module that you have selected and expound the concept it
encompasses with a minimum of five (5) sentences. You may use the Internet to search for additional
information and ideas as needed. (Essay: 15 points)
