Menu Button
In standby mode it will go to the
Start menu.
The screen will turn off if the device
is in active mode and in the Start
menu. In any other screen, it will
return to the Start menu.
Lock Release Button
Press this to open the door during a
conversation or when in the “Open
Door” screen.

Communication Pressing the Communication icon or the
Direct Access button will got to a screen
where the type of call to be made can be
selected.

CALL TO APARTMENT
By pressing the Call to Apartment icon a screen with a numeric keypad will appear to
input the apartment address.
The alphanumeric keyboard can also be changed (ABC) or the address can be searched
for from the directory .
The call will be made by pressing the Bell icon.

list of saved concierges will appear in the
01 1 North Guard directory.

Settings menu:
• Date and time.
• Touch volume.
• Melody selection.
• Brightness.

To select the brightness level of the screen.

Pressing the Block Screen icon will result
in the touch screen being unusable for 30
seconds to allow for its cleaning.
Blocked for A countdown indicating the remaining time
will be displayed on the screen.

Note: The screen will show when a call
is received even if it is blocked. When the
handset it picked up to answer a call, the
screen will be unblocked.

To call the guard unit from an audio panel with the address 0 on a push button.
The panel must be in master mode in order to assign the pushbutton.
Configure a panel as a master: Press the SW1 button 3 consecutive times quickly.
After 2 seconds, a confirmation tone will be heard, and the panel will be activated as a
master.
1. While the panel is in master mode, long press SW1 for 10 seconds, a confirmation beep
will be heard and the LED will flash. This indicates that the panel is in programming
mode.
2. Select the option at the guard unit.
The message will remain on the screen for 5 seconds and then the guard unit will make
a call to the programmed panel as a master.

3. If the phone is picked-up, a conversation can be held as a normal call and once the
call is over the guard unit will have finished its function and will return to the previous
screen.
4. When you have hung up and the panel continues in programming, press the button
that you want to associate with address 0. A confirmation sounds beep-beep. The
pushbutton will be programmed with the address of the guard unit to call.
5. Press SW1 once to exit programming.

IMPORTANT:
When changing the guard unit from GE to Block or vice versa without going into NIGHT
mode beforehand, the terminals still have the address of the guard unit stored prior to
their change of GE or Block.
If the guard unit is in DAY or MIXED mode and the type change menu (GE or Block) is
accessed, a message appears on the screen warning that the action cannot be performed
if it is not previously switched to NIGHT mode. It must be changed to NIGHT mode.
An “ERROR” message appears warning you.
In this way, the guard unit address is reset in terminals and panels.

Note: In the event that the Guard unit is removed and changed from one block to another,
the error screen would not appear, and would continue to maintain the configuration
it had of the previous block. This is considered an incorrect use.

Relay
Adding or modifying entries to/in the directory follows different paths depending on the
type of directory selected, the sequences are as follows:
• Panel: Number > Select entrance type > Block (if exists) > Sub-block (if exists) >
Panel number
• Guard Unit: Number > Select entrance type > Block (if exists) > Guard Unit number
• Relé: Name > Select entrance type > Block (if exists) > Relay associated with the F1
or F2 button.
Note: In the case of the Guard Unit being configured as the Block Entrance, the Block
screen will not appear as it shows on the Block Guard Unit.

In the main menu the door release icon changes to show the option of activating relays.
Open door / Activate Relay When you press the open door/activate
relays icon, the screen to select one of the
two options appears.
ACTIVATE RELAY
Relay activation from STANDBY.
Activate Relay When you click on the icon to activate
relays, a list of the relays stored in the
Block Relay Description directory appears.

CALL WITHOUT PICKING UP: The Guard unit may perform 2 actions before PICKING-
UP:
a) Press the physical door lock button , for the lock release.
b) Press the relay icon (upper right corner). Pressing this icon will display the list of
available relays for the Guard unit to choose the one it wants to activate.

CALL ON PICKING-UP (in COMMUNICATION): The guard unit may perform 2 actions:
a) Press the physical door lock button , for the lock release.
b) Press the relay icon (upper right corner). Pressing this icon will display the list of
available relays for the Guard unit to choose the one it wants to activate.

The operation is the same if you receive a call from an apartment or another Guard unit
without picking up and when picking up, as explained in the previous points.
Select Mode
• DAY mode
All calls from the panels are intercepted by the guard unit.
Apartments/panels can call directly to the guard unit.
• MIX mode
Apartments/panels can call the guard unit directly.
• The call rings in the apartment, and you can activate the monitoring of the guard
unit call as well. By default it is disabled .
: Calls from the panel to apartments will not go through the guard unit.
Only apartments or other guard units can call the guard units directly.
(red icon).
: SIf the monitoring of the guard unit call is activated, it would work as
follows: The call rings in the apartment and if in 15 seconds it is not
answered it will also ring at the guard unit. From this moment, the guard
unit can pick up and it will stop ringing in the apartment, or vice versa.
(green icon).

• NIGHT mode
The guard unit will not receive any calls.

DURING CONVERSATION
During an ongoing conversation, information on the call will appear on the guard unit
screen. The following steps can be performed:
• Regulate ringtone volume.
• Transfer the call.
• Open the door (if coming from the panel).

Note: If the concierge hangs up the call before connecting with the second apartment or
concierge (Call 2), the call will not be transferred.
VEO DUOX PLUS GUARD UNIT 17
INSTALLATION
The VEO DUOX PLUS guard unit includes a stainless-steel wall connector which protects
the wall surface via four adhesive feet, which avoid dislodgment and level off small
irregularities in the wall. A wall connector (rosette) for its installation is included. The
connection is indicated in figure 5.
